Ralph Lamb wants to be left in peace to run his ranch, but Las Vegas is now swelling with outsiders and corruption which are intruding on his simple life. Recalling Lamb's command as a military police officer during World War II, the Mayor appeals to his sense of duty to look into a murder of a casino worker – and so begins Lamb’s clash with Vincent Savino, a ruthless Chicago gangster who plans to make Vegas his own.

00:22This is about the building of Las Vegas when it was just kind of a rough and tumble town.
00:27It takes place in the early 1960s. Vegas was transforming into what it is now.
00:32The mob was growing in power and they start to control the casinos.
00:37It's a fascinating combination of law and lawlessness.
00:41It really is the Wild West.
00:44I play Ralph Lamb who became sheriff kind of reluctantly.
00:49This rancher who used to be a military police officer.
00:53A man who believes in the good fight, truthful, honest, says it how it is.
00:58He is a maverick of a man who did things his own way.
01:02Talk about old school. This guy's a cowboy.
01:16You don't look like the law. I've been hearing that.
01:20My character, Vincent Savino, is in the Chicago crime family.
01:24He is coming in from the east to exploit and develop and build Las Vegas.
01:30Every crew in the country is playing their flags. I'm gonna plan mine.
01:35Just got to deal with one thing at a time.
01:39It's a war over power and control as to who runs the city of Las Vegas.
01:44And they're going head to head.
01:46The cowboy, he could be a real problem.
01:49I'll handle him when the time comes.

02:01There's really been a great attention to detail with this.
02:03I love the period. The clothes and the hair and the makeup.
02:07I really feel transported to that time.
