00:24Number 10, Hayden Christensen's return for the final Skywalker Saga episode.
00:30Coming into the final chapter of the epic Skywalker Saga, fans were obviously incredibly hyped up.
00:37After decades of gripping storytelling, the nine-episode main Star Wars story was going to be wrapped up by J
00:43.J. Abrams' episode 9, The Rise of Skywalker.
00:47So naturally, lovers of this galaxy far, far away went into theory overdrive in the time between episode 8, The
00:54Last Jedi, and this 2019 sequel.
00:57One particularly popular theory that was doing the rounds before this last episode focused on the return of none other
01:03than the Chosen One himself, Anakin Skywalker.
01:07With his name being right there in the title, some, including the folks over at Esquire, just felt like the
01:13time was right for a Hayden Christensen comeback as Annie.
01:16Add into that the fact that Christensen was seen wandering around Galaxy's Edge in the lead up to the film's
01:22release, and had also been making some appearances with a name already confirmed to return in that movie, Darth Sidious
01:28actor Ian McDiarmid.
01:29And it's not hard to see why fans had a good feeling about the rise of this Skywalker.
01:34And sure enough, Christensen would return in episode 9.
01:37Now sure, it wasn't a full cameo or appearance like fans would eventually get in the Obi-Wan Kenobi or
01:43Ahsoka shows,
01:44but hearing Christensen's unmistakable voice when Rey hears the Jedi of the past on Exegol was still a wonderful moment,
01:51and a fan theory come true.

02:02Number 9.
02:03The World Between Worlds makes its live-action debut
02:06Anyone who has ever enjoyed the four-season ride that is Star Wars Rebels will know all too well how
02:13crucial the World Between Worlds is in the story of Ahsoka Tano.
02:17During that animated show, the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker was pulled into this strange realm by Ezra Bridger, just before
02:24she could be defeated by Darth Vader.
02:26So, with Ahsoka finally being given her own live-action show in 2023, fans were quick to wonder whether this
02:33could lead to her returning to the mystical plane of the Force which connects all space and time.
02:38Marketing material for that show seemed to hint at the World Between Worlds being a part of her quest to
02:44find Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn too,
02:47with moments in the trailers and even its logo looking like they had some connection to the realm.
02:53Of course, Rosario Dawson's Tano very much ended up back there after being thrown into the ocean by Balen's skull
02:59on Setos.
03:00Only this time, instead of joining forces with Bridger to fight off the Emperor, Tano came face to face with
03:05her past,
03:06as Hayden Christensen's Anakin slash Vader finished her training, and viewers were pulled right back into the Clone Wars.
03:13This incredibly compelling time-travelling sequence was something even those who dreamed of a live-action return to this truly
03:20bizarre section of the galaxy far, far away were not fully prepared for,
03:24and it gifted fans some of the most epic moments and visuals of the entire Disney Star Wars era.

03:32Number 8. The title of Episode 9 and Palpatine's Return
03:36Now here's a spooky one.
03:38While the prior two entries have focused on those theories which clever fans landed on after joining the dots found
03:44in promotional material or social media,
03:46this one actually seems like a real-life case of the Force guiding an individual towards the truth.
03:52You see, a whole seven years before Ian McDiarmid's Emperor made his divisive return in Episode 9, The Rise of
03:59Skywalker,
04:00one fan sent out a ridiculously prophetic post on Twitter, or X, or whatever it is.
04:06Said post tweeted just a month after Disney announced they would be making new Star Wars movies in the wake
04:11of purchasing Lucasfilm in October 2012,
04:14contained not only a comment stating they felt Palpatine would be making a comeback at some point in the sequel
04:19trilogy,
04:20but a now rather familiar title.
04:22The episode Gabriel Garcia was speculating about may have been two movies early,
04:26but after reading the rest of that post, which contained what would eventually become the Episode 9 title of The
04:32Rise of Skywalker,
04:33you'd be forgiven for thinking this person had seen the future in a portal within the World Between Worlds.
04:38At Gabby G4-1 would then comically later add that their theory also consisted of Palpatine being rescued by Imperial
04:45Guards,
04:46before they then healed him with General Grievous parts.
04:49A cyborg emperor may not have come to pass, but a lot of this theory surprisingly aged like a fine
04:55wine.
04:56Number 7, Barriss Offee Becomes an Inquisitor
04:58Another popular theory being circulated in the lead-up to the live-action Ahsoka show's first season
05:05involved the titular character's one-time best bud.
05:08Before that series debuted, former Padawan Barriss Offee, voiced by Meredith Salinger,
05:14infamously framed Tano for an attack on the Jedi Temple, before eventually being imprisoned by the Jedi.
05:20The damage was done though, as the whole ordeal understandably caused Ahsoka to lose faith in the Order,
05:26and turn her back on it in the animated series.
05:29And while we would eventually witness what was next for Tano in the years that followed,
05:33an Offee who had also grown disillusioned with the Jedi was never seen again.
05:37In the wake of Order 66, Darth Vader would command a bunch of Force-sensitive Darkseid users known as
05:44the Inquisitors, with these individuals hunting down the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy.
05:49So, with Offee also not exactly being the biggest fan of the Jedi,
05:53it made sense that she would have eventually been recruited by the Empire.
05:57It may not have ultimately occurred in Ahsoka,
06:00with Offee not actually being revealed as the person underneath Marrock's mask,
06:03but this fan theory was officially made part of the canon during the brilliant Tales of the Empire animated show
06:09instead.
06:10Here, fans see Offee suit up as an Inquisitor,
06:13become disenchanted by the Empire,
06:15and then eventually find her place as a healer,
06:17before being impaled by the fourth sister.
06:20It may have taken a while for this intriguing theory to blossom into a compelling three-episode tale,
06:25but it was certainly worth the wait.
06:276. Han Solo dies at the hands of his son
06:30After trying to get his lovable smuggler killed ever since the days of the original trilogy,
06:36Harrison Ford finally getting his Han Solo death wish in Episode 7 The Force Awakens did feel a bit inevitable.
06:43Exactly how that death would go down, though,
06:45was still something many fans enjoyed theorizing about.
06:49As revealed in a The Guardian piece that was published before the film's release in 2015,
06:54some even felt that Solo could actually be murdered by his old pal Luke Skywalker in the first entry into
07:00the sequel trilogy.
07:01In this theory, Luke would strike down Solo as a way of saving someone else.
07:06That certainly would have made for a quite heartbreaking visual right there.
07:09Witnessing one icon being forced to cut down another on the big screen?
07:13Oh, it just, it just hurts.
07:14But while that shocking theory obviously never made it into theatres,
07:18the same could not be said for the one found directly underneath it.
07:22That rumour slash theory involves Solo being dispatched by his own quote-unquote alleged son, Kylo Ren.
07:29And what do you know, a whole eight months after that article was published,
07:33that's precisely what went down within Starkiller Base,
07:36with Adam Driver's former Ben Solo stabbing his pops with a lightsaber.

07:52Number 5, Morgan Elsbeth is a Nightsister
07:55Around the time of her debut during the second season of The Mandalorian,
07:59there was a lot of discussion about whether or not Diana Lee InnoSanto's Morgan Elsbeth was actually a Nightsister.
08:06You see, according to a hairstylist working on that Star Wars show,
08:10this magistrate was one of the last survivors of Dathomir.
08:14So this, inevitably, along with Ahsoka Tano mentioning how her people were massacred during the Clone Wars,
08:20led to a ton of people assuming that this actually meant she was part of the famous clan of witches
08:25found on that particular planet.
08:27There were actually a number of tribes on this world,
08:30so there was always a chance Elsbeth could have just been from one of those instead.
08:33However, as InnoSanto would eventually reveal herself at Los Angeles Comic-Con in 2023,
08:39she was actually aware from the very beginning that her character was very much a Nightsister.
08:44Keeping that secret incredibly close to the chest, though,
08:47it wasn't until the first season of Ahsoka dropped when fans finally learned that their theories about her being one
08:53of these powerful witches were completely true.
08:56With Ahsbeth's devastating backstory as a Nightsister,
08:59she survived General Grievous' aforementioned vicious attack on them in Star Wars The Clone Wars,
09:04even being explored in the recent Tales of the Empire series, too.
09:094. Rex is Nick Sands
09:11Well, sort of.
09:12Becoming a rather adored member of the galaxy far, far away during his time in both Star Wars The Clone
09:18Wars and Rebels,
09:20Captain Rex, voiced by D. Bradley Baker,
09:22would eventually find himself at the center of a seriously fascinating fan theory.
09:27Thanks to the rather glorious big white beard Rex eventually grows during his later years in that latter series,
09:33a decent section of the Star Wars fanbase began wondering whether one particular rebel in Episode VI Return of the
09:40Jedi
09:40was actually secretly the clone icon all along.
09:44Said Freedom Fighter went by the name of Nick Sant,
09:47and looked just like Rex during his time in the Rebel show,
09:50which eventually leads into the original trilogy.
09:52Add in the fact that Rebels creator Dave Filoni himself strongly felt the former 501st man was the bearded old
09:59guy on Endor,
10:00and you have a fan theory that was pretty much destined to be made official at some point.
10:04However, rather than fully committing to this being canon,
10:08Filoni, wanting to let the fans decide for themselves if Rex was Sant or not,
10:13instead just decided to leave the show in a state where you could believe one way or the other.
10:18So if you want to believe this Rebel slash Rex theory is a Star Wars fact,
10:22then you're well within your rights.
10:24Number 3, Din Djarin will wield the Darksaber in Season 2 of The Mandalorian.
10:29Without doubt one of the coolest weapons to ever pop up in the galaxy far, far away,
10:35the Darksaber has been wielded by some of the most important characters in Star Wars history.
10:40And with its reintroduction in The Mandalorian's first season,
10:43some felt like it was only a matter of time before a certain Din Djarin found himself being added to
10:49that impressive list.
10:50One that also includes Maul, Pre Vizsla, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze and Moff Gideon.
10:56After watching that last name slice his way out of a TIE fighter in that first season's finale,
11:01a number of fans began to speculate on Reddit that Season 2 would see Pedro Pascal's character hold that sacred
11:07Mandalorian weapon too.
11:09Now it may have taken the entire season to get there,
11:12but this prediction slash theory turned out to be quite accurate in the end,
11:16as Mando not only bested Gideon in a fight and technically won the weapon from him,
11:21he also walked into a room with it ignited.
11:24And this was something that definitely came as an unwanted surprise to a Bo-Katan who knew just being handed
11:29the weapon once again,
11:31instead of winning it in combat would make her claim to the throne of Mandalore illegitimate.
11:35Still though, a lot of fans just knew from the moment they saw Gideon holding that ancient black blade
11:41that it was bound to end up in Mando's mitt,
11:44even if he didn't actually fully start swinging it around until the likes of the Book of Boba Fett and
11:49Mando Season 3.
11:50He still ignited it in Season 2 though, so it counts.
11:53Number 2, Darth Plagueis will appear in the Acolyte.
11:56Throughout the latest Disney Plus chunk of live-action Star Wars that is the Acolyte,
12:02theories were being thrown out left, right and centre,
12:05with many being about precisely who the Sith Master pulling the strings in the shadows actually was.
12:11Kyme, aka The Stranger, may have been trying to recruit May as his own pupil,
12:16but this one-time Jedi Padawan also must have had his own teacher of the dark side, right?
12:21And some fans even speculated that it could even be one of the witches who helped raise-slash-create May
12:27and Usha, Mother Coral.
12:29However, the most popular theory that was present online as each new episode was released,
12:34and even in the time before the show's Disney Plus debut,
12:37involved the long-awaited big-screen arrival of the legendary Force user who eventually trained Sheev Palpatine.
12:44And in the finale, that piece of speculation finally became a reality,
12:49as it was very much revealed that Darth Plagueis was not only lurking on the world where Kyme took Usha
12:54in the show,
12:55he was also the former's master.
12:57That's according to showrunner Leslie Hedlund, who confirmed the popular fan theory to Entertainment Weekly,
13:03that Plagueis was indeed the one who taught Kyme the ways of the dark side.
13:07The creator also noted to Nerdist that, if she's given the chance to,
13:11Hedlund knows how she'd like to continue telling the Sith Lord's story right up to the point in the timeline
13:16where he trains the future Emperor.
13:19More Plagueis, you say? Do it!
13:21And number one, Kelerin Beck hid Grogu after Order 66.
13:25For a while there, every single Star Wars fan on the damn planet had their own intriguing opinion
13:31about who actually saved little Grogu from being killed during Order 66.
13:36Some felt that it just had to be a Mace Windu who definitely did not die during Episode 3, Revenge
13:42of the Sith.
13:42Others predicted that everyone from Barriss Offey to Quinlan Vos helped get Baby Yoda to safety.
13:48And then there was this one fan on Twitter, Slash X, back in December 2020,
13:52who ridiculously suggested that a character played by the bloke who also portrayed Jar Jar Binks
13:57was the person who really hid Grogu from the Empire.
14:00Fast forward two and a bit years, however, and this fun little theory about Ahmed Best Jedi Master Kelerin Beck,
14:07the guy who supervised younglings and guided them through challenges in the Star Wars Jedi Temple Challenge Kids Game Show,
14:13being the heroic Jedi who rescued Grogu from the clones on Coruscant,
14:17only went and became a Star Wars fact.
14:20That reveal finally went down in The Mandalorian's third season in March 2023,
14:25as At-Keldor Jedi's bold theory remarkably became a compelling part of franchise history during Chapter 20, The Foundling.
