00:05after councillors backed a deal in principle for the development.
00:09The venue would be built on Flood Street and host public skating, ice hockey, concerts, boxing and other live events.
00:17Council leaders believe it could create hundreds of jobs, attract thousands of extra visitors each year
00:23and encourage people to spend more time and money in Dudley Town Centre,
00:28supporting nearby shops, cafes and other local businesses.
00:33A planning application will still be needed before construction can begin,
00:37but supporters believe the arena could become a key part of the town's long-term regeneration plans.
