00:00He'd gone out of the Marines, went into showbiz, so therefore he must be gay, so there was
00:08where the rumours started.
00:10And he used to, you know, roll his eyes and just laugh about it.
00:17And then something happened with Michael Ball in New York where it became, you know, they
00:27brought somebody else into it and he, I think, sort of had enough of that and, you know, didn't
00:37want the label and didn't want Michael Ball to have the label either, you know.
00:44He didn't want his sexuality questioned in the newspaper.
00:48And, you know, I find it, you know, without revealing too much, one of his staff was gay.
01:02He had no problem with anybody being gay, not around him, not, you know, he, so it was nothing
01:12to do with that.
01:14It was just he'd had enough of, I think, everybody around him being brought into it and just the
01:22persistence of the rumour.
01:24It's annoying.
01:25Well, it is, if it's just, you know, you see it in black and white and people are sort of,
01:32you're a mummy's boy, you're this, you're that.
01:36And then you say in the book that once you made love to him, you were like, you're not gay.
01:40He ain't gay.
01:41No.
01:43That boy ain't gay.
01:45That's what I thought.
01:46Was it worth the wait?
