00:08in my ability to put on makeup.
00:11Also, I'm a 90s kid.

00:13and I guess I still think it's the 90s.
00:16My amazing makeup artist, Genevieve,
00:18is still giving me lessons on how to apply blush,
00:23and I'm 40-something years old, and I'm still learning.
00:27And she says, always just a little dot on the nose,
00:32kind of like salt when you're cooking.

00:40when we were doing Our Town together.
00:42Every night, I would go and say,
00:44how did I do on my brows?
00:45Yeah, I usually have one good night of brows.
00:47I'm realizing that I'm talking to myself,
00:49which is pretty normal.
00:51I have lived in New York on and off since 2012,
00:56and New York is just, I don't know, it's the best.
00:59I was in San Diego for three months this winter,
01:02so I missed the winter, which I wasn't upset about,
01:04because the winter is, it's hard in New York.
01:08I'll be back next year.
01:09I will be with everyone.
01:10I will do the snow angels, and I will go to the park,
01:15and then I will be grumpy like everyone.
01:17I love it.
01:18You know, men don't spend that much time
01:20getting dressed in the morning or thinking about it.
01:22I tend to be, I guess, a little bit more like that,
01:25sort of always in a rush, and I got a lot on my mind,
01:28but I do appreciate how different things in the city
01:31can influence so much of your style,
01:34because it's like, oh, you can go see a show,
01:36and like maybe that time period makes you think about like,
01:38oh, I'm gonna wear a bolero,
01:40because I love that show, and who cares?
01:42Or I was walking yesterday,
01:44and I saw this really beautiful rosebud bush.
01:48It looked like a sugar ice cream cone.
01:51I woke up when I put a pink sweater on, unconsciously.
01:53Wow, the shade is called Rose, which I didn't plan.
01:56I wish I had.
01:57That would have been really smart.
01:59I feel like I wore like a darker lip to prom,
02:03and then there were many years of like the nude lip.
02:05Now that it's come back around, I feel like, oh, wow,
02:08you're really seeing at a certain point in your life
02:10how everything is cyclical, and this is actually
02:14part of this whole color story.
02:17They're all sort of the same family,
02:19which makes life very confident-making,
02:22like, oh, I know I did that right.
02:24Merit does make it easier, I'm just saying,
02:27and I feel really, you know, ready.
