00:05After spending half my life staring at the black line at the bottom of a pool,
00:10I figured it was time to help the next generation do the same thing.
00:14Swimming gave me an incredible career, memories, things I will cherish forever.
00:20But over the last couple of years, something so unexpected happened.
00:24I might actually be more passionate about coaching than competing.
00:29Don't get me wrong. I had a pretty good swimming career.
00:33But honestly, I think I might even be a better swim coach.
00:36So, I traded in my goggles for a stopwatch.
00:40And I'm not going to lie, it looks pretty good on me.
00:44And yes, don't worry. I will still say Gia.
00:48I will still over-celebrate.
00:50And yes, there might be way too much energy on pool deck.
00:54But that's okay.
00:55I'm beyond excited to work with the athletes at Missouri State Bears alongside Coach Dave Collins.
01:04And helping these swimmers both in and out of the pool and creating unforgettable memories along the way.
