00:05barrels toward Florida. Well, Dylan has made her way to Bradenton, just south of Tampa,
00:09very much in the strike zone. Dylan, good morning.
00:14Good morning, guys. We certainly are. We are in a worst case scenario here in Bradenton,
00:19Florida, where we're forecasting a 10 to 15 foot storm surge. So what does that even mean? I want
00:24to point out that I'm at sea level right now. If the water comes up just three feet, that is
00:29enough to knock you off your feet. It's also going to start rushing into buildings and structures
00:35that have not been sandbagged. Once we get up to six feet, that's above my head. You can't walk in
00:41that. Don't try to swim in that because it's full of debris, heavy objects like cars on the outside,
00:47inside. Heavy furniture is starting to get tossed around on the first floor. It's starting to crash
00:53through windows and doorways. Then you get up to 10 feet and that's unfathomable. That's where the
00:57first floor is completely inundated with water. In these one level structures, there is nowhere to
01:03go. You cannot survive that once the flooding gets that high. So the National Guard yesterday in
01:09Bradenton Beach was out and about going street by street to make sure that everyone has evacuated
01:15this area. And it looks like a lot of folks in this area have certainly boarded up. They've put the
01:20sandbags down and they are taking the precautions, especially on the heels of Helene. And the messages
01:26certainly have been sent here. No one is in this area along the shoreline. And we are certainly
01:32going to move inland to higher elevation soon because conditions are going to deteriorate
01:37rapidly throughout the day, guys. All right, Dylan, thank you.
