00:03St. Patrick's Day is important to the Irish Guards, but obviously because it's an Irish
00:06regiment, it's built up of Irish families back in the day and still is. For me St. Patrick's Day
00:11is about families coming together and bringing the whole regiment together and celebrating what
00:17we've done that year and our connections to Ireland. The parade is my favourite part of
00:22St. Patrick's Day celebrations, where it's an opportunity for us to get out and front
00:26of our families, when they don't see us on the parade, very often there's also an opportunity
00:30for us all to be together as a regiment. The parade makes this tradition and then from there
00:34move them to our individual messes and enjoying the family of friends. When we're deployed
00:38overseas for so much of the year, to bring that all together on one day per year is very special.

00:52It makes me feel very proud that my family would be there, to see me representing the battalion.
