00:00I did just want to say what a great joy it is to be with you even briefly on this
00:07occasion
00:09but also to enjoy the great sadness after 32 years of knowing you all and admiring all
00:17your many activities and your achievements throughout the time that I've been lucky
00:23enough to be colon in chief of the army and of course all that time on operations in Iraq
00:32and Afghanistan I watched with again immense admiration for what you did and managed to
00:41do out there and of course with this remarkable Apache here I remember I think I probably
00:50was taken up in one of these ones all those years ago and I shall never forget it nor
00:58will I forget the fact that when I first became colon in chief you still had quite a few fixed
01:03for me aircraft one or two which I flew in along with some rather ancient helicopters so all
01:11I can say is that having had the pleasure of knowing you for so long I do hope you will
01:17go from strength to strength in the future with the Prince of Wales as your new colon in
01:24chief the great thing is he's a very good pilot indeed so that's encouraging so those have
01:31to look after yourselves and I can't tell you how proud it has made me to be involved with
01:37all of you all this time. Thank you.
