00:00By the story of 25 years, and that's a whole lot of love, signs, and some epic black tie fundraising.
00:09Okay, so about this Couragey Board.
00:13First, I'm going to say I'm deeply moved and touched, but I also have questions.
00:19So, and I'm courageous, sure.
00:23Sometimes, it depends on the day, a week, maybe a decade.
00:29And Courage has a lot of meanings.
00:31I mean, sometimes Courage can be as dramatic as risking your life.
00:36And sometimes Courage can be telling someone how to feel about living in an authentic way when you'd rather do
00:42anything else.
00:43But most importantly, Courage can't exist in the back of you.
00:49And one thing I do know is that it's not about wood or spitting.
00:53This award is truly for the sisterhood of incredible women who show me what Courage looks like.
01:00My family, my friends, or its daughters.
01:04Even my brand new granddaughter teaches me about her words every day.
01:09She hangs out in this real world where I'm sure she could be much happier because of that wood.
01:16And of course, most importantly, women like my aunt, Deanna, who survived breast cancer and has been free of it
01:24for 18 years.
01:28Thank you for being here with me tonight, and always.
01:34When I was working on Vile, I learned that far too many women have come before us with breast cancer.
01:42We're almost had to consider it as being shameful and certainly something that you never spoke about.
01:50And I hate to think that our mothers and grandmothers fought for those battles without the support it can inevitably
01:56deserve to eliminate.
01:58And that's where the Rebecca's Cancer Research Fund comes in.
02:02And thank God, because this is all too hard to do by yourself.
02:05Because as women, we don't get to be courageous just once.
02:09We have to put everything on the dead.
02:11And we cannot, will not, do the dead.
02:16So thank you for this honor and the experience that we did.
