00:04unusual. Even with our open operations people don't tend to be booked in for a
00:09two-week stay. If we talk about open surgery as the the alternative the
00:14incision is a lot longer usually in the midline of the abdomen. It can be a full
00:18midline or an upper or lower midline depending on what was being done. But the
00:22bigger the incision that the longer the post-operative recovery because it is
00:26painful. We do give you local pain busters to be applied and there are
00:31techniques to manage the pain but a big incision is obviously much more
00:34painful than a short incision. So we tend to let them home with strong painkillers
00:38and anti-antiemetics and then hopefully get home within two or three days. So
00:43probably to you and and me and probably the vast majority of people we don't
00:47really know why she's spending two weeks in hospital and I'm sure what with her
00:51public duties on top of it all she has plenty plenty to keep her busy. But
00:55certainly she should be wary of the fact that she should give it a good six
00:59weeks to let the wounds fully heal. It's not common. None of our patients
01:03spend two weeks in hospital for a relatively straightforward surgery. So
01:08then the question is has she had something very significant? We've been
01:11told that she's not had cancer it's not a cancer operation so we know it's not
01:15something sinister. So the only thing I can think is that she's staying in for
01:19rest and recuperation. Really maybe she's having a longer stint in hospital before she
01:24comes home. Maybe she's thinking by staying in hospital she's less likely to
01:28get herself going get into trouble and be forced to get involved with all sorts of
01:34other things. But it isn't it's I mean I would expect to stay in for four or five
01:39days next week.
