00:00Aloha, GMA. Good morning. I wanted to thank you so much for dedicating this time to helping
00:09Maui and all of the efforts for all of the people there and rebuilding Maui. It's important
00:18for us to get word out and educate people on what's happening now and what's needed
00:24now and how everyone can be helpful because I know a lot of people want to do something
00:29but don't exactly know how or what's needed. So it's really great that you guys are dedicating
00:35this time for that. You asked me what does Maui mean to me and it's such a beautiful
00:45question because it makes me think about this place and the spirit of Hawaii. So I was fortunate
00:55enough to get to move my family here two years ago and our dog to work for NCIS Hawaii and
01:07I can't put into words the feeling that overcame me. It is truly a magical spiritual feeling
01:15that I felt. I felt for the first time that I was home and it's real and it touches you
01:28and it's your
01:29mana and what I'm seeing now is a lot of people having little pieces of that on the mainland and
01:36all around the world and it's beautiful to watch humanity at its finest and to see everyone come
01:42together for Maui in ways that we never thought possible. I'm also proud to add that just today
01:51NCIS Hawaii all of our crew and cast got together and went through all of the wardrobe that we had
01:58as well as some from Hawaii Five-0 and some from Magnum and pulled together to send them over to
02:04Maui and
02:05some of our guys also on their personal boats brought gas and propane. It's really what they
02:11need right now and we are sending individuals to help literally rebuild. We've been talking to some
02:17state officials and a lot of families there and just what they need and really it's it's the lumber,
02:24it's the nails, it's the manpower and on top of that it's a lot of them have GoFundMes and Venmos
02:29for
02:30just instant needs like a laptop to go to college or baby needs for a newborn. So thank you again
