00:00So, if you know me, you know that one side of my business life is properties and property development.
00:10Just over a year ago, I bought an apartment in Mallorca and I left some Spanish builders to deal with
00:17it.
00:17And let's just say, a nightmare is exactly what it was.
00:22So then I spoke to another building firm who quoted me ridiculous prices and if you know me, I like
00:27to look after my pennies.
00:29So that weren't going to work.
00:31The apartment is in a hotel and you have to stop building at a certain time of year when the
00:37hotel opens to guests.
00:38Rightly so, because of noise.
00:40So I should have started the refurb at the start of the winter before it opened to the summer.
00:45Not me. Typical left it to the last minute because I've been trying to get other options so I don't
00:49have to go there.
00:50Not managed to do it. It's three weeks before they opened.
00:53I am now in a long wheelbase van with Johnny Boy who have just picked up.
00:59Loaded the back with the materials, the builder's tools and we are driving to Mallorca.
01:05Our journey is 15 hours to the south of France.
01:10We're staying over for a night.
01:12Obviously we're about to get on the Eurotunnel now.
01:16Then we get a seven hour ferry from Barcelona to Mallorca.
01:19We arrive Tuesday morning at 5.30pm.
01:22But the flat right now is like a bomb city.
01:25It's all over the show.
01:26Tiles falling off the wall and stuff.
01:28So we've got to get there, fix what's broken and do a complete refurb.
01:35I'm going to be uploading it on my Instagram so follow the story.
01:40It's going to be pretty fun.
01:42But yeah, good luck to me and Johnny Boy because we have got a long drive ahead.
01:49We're going to be doing it.
01:51We're going to be doing it.
