00:00Another favourite smile transformation is the beautiful Victoria Beckham. If we have a look
00:05at the left hand side photo we can see that Victoria has what we call a deep bite. A deep
00:10bite is where your top teeth are overlapping your bottom teeth more than what's considered to be the
00:14usual. Also her teeth are retroclined. Retroclined means they're literally slanted inwards.
00:21If we have a look at the sides of her teeth we can also see that she's lacking in buckle
00:25corridors
00:25so when she's smiling everything is more focused on the front and the back teeth don't show that
00:29much. If we have a look at Victoria's after photos we can see that it's likely that she's had some
00:34cosmetic work done i.e porcelain veneers. Why do I say that? Well we can see that the shapes and
00:41proportions of the teeth have completely changed as well as her bite which means it's likely that
00:45she's had the top and bottom teeth done. She also has what we call a long upper lip length which
00:51relates to the base of the nose to the upper part of the lip. As we get older this length
00:57can actually
00:57get longer so having more supports to the lip by the teeth which is shown here as the teeth have
01:03become bigger can help as we get older. We can also see that in the after photos she has fuller
01:09buccal corridors so she's got more back teeth showing on smiling and the proportions of the teeth have
01:14changed. Some people try and achieve this look with orthodontic treatment i.e braces to help alleviate the
01:21deep bite bring out the back teeth to fill out your buccal corridors and also correct the crowding
01:26however we can see here that the shapes and color of the teeth have changed quite a lot which can't
01:32be achieved by braces and whitening alone.
