00:00Hey, good morning.
00:01Yes, I was just at the bottom of the earth.
00:03Now I'm at the second highest capital city of Quito, Ecuador, headed to the middle of
00:08the earth, the equator and of course the Galapagos Islands, where we are going to see some incredible
00:12wildlife.
00:13But that very wildlife is under tremendous pressure because of our changing climate.
00:18Global warming means more El Nino seasons.
00:21And every time an El Nino hits, an entire food chain takes a hit.
00:25These islands are really in the crosshairs.
00:27We're going to be criss-crossing the equator actually several times as we hop islands
00:31to experience some of the most peculiar and original animal life in the world.
00:36Ninety-six percent of the islands are in national parks, so it is pristine.
00:40The islands are famous for giant tortoises.
00:42They can live to over a hundred years old.
00:44Also some wild-looking birds, I love their names, called red-footed boobies and blue-footed
00:50boobies.
00:50Looking forward to seeing those.
00:51And of course, Charles Darwin visited these islands and it all led to a series of evolution
00:56so there's so much history steeped in this island.
00:59We are hoping to learn and see so much and bring it all to you.
01:02We are honored to go on this trip.
01:04Cannot wait to get started.
01:05We're hopping on a plane in just a few minutes heading to San Cristobal, Galapagos Islands.
