00:12So in March 1950, they're involved in a fight outside a dance hall in Hackney, age 16.
00:20And it's the first time that they've got their names into the newspaper.
00:27So what I have here is a genuine piece of history.
00:30It is the actual scrapbook owned by Reggie Cray.
00:34So over a 15 year period, he's cutting out newspaper cuttings and I'm putting them lovingly into this book.
00:41A hugely important document and shows that even at an early age, Reggie wanted to be famous.
00:49He loved reading the newspaper cuttings about himself.
00:53So here we have their first appearance in newspapers as youths.
00:57Youth is beaten up by gang.
01:00The magistrate states, this boy has been beaten by beasts.
01:05These people think they are above the law.
01:08They have to be taught a lesson.
01:11There is a second article.
01:13The headline reads, raise a threat to girl witness.
01:17So in the text, a prosecution witness had been threatened that if she gave evidence, a razor would be put
01:25across her face.
01:26And the article goes on to list the specific weapons used in the attack.
01:32A piece of bicycle chain, two lavatory chains with handles and a cosh.
01:39It's quite a vicious attack.
01:42This is the start of them appearing in the press.
01:45All through the 50s, there are incidents of them getting involved in scraps, getting involved in some more serious fights
01:54as they got older.
01:55But we have a third of them getting involved as a Đây Shavio.
01:57This is the start of the 60s.
01:57So let's see if it's a second, you can see that when the 1980s were able to suffer,
01:58I was thinking of the 70s.
01:58So let's look at those and see that they are more serious.
