00:00How do I combat burnout and stress? Well there's no doubt about it I work in the
00:05most stressful end of television production and that is live TV and
00:10that's what I've been doing for 40 odd years of my life. Now the live thing I
00:16think I get around it because I know my job and I know everybody else's job. I
00:21know what the floor manager is supposed to do, I know what the cameras are
00:24supposed to do, sound, I know what the director is supposed to do, the producers
00:27in the gallery and if you feel confident that you know what is happening you're
00:31not sailing into the dark, you're not sailing into the unprepared, that you
00:35have briefed yourself that I mean of course you'll rely on researchers and
00:39producers to do this as well but don't trust anybody, trust yourself, prepare
00:44yourself. I mean I'm constantly listening to news, reading newspapers, picking up
00:49info from entertainment through to horse racing. It all counts, it can all pop up
00:55in my job. If you are prepared, you're gonna be okay. Let's do it again sometime
01:00and if you've anything to add, anything that I haven't touched upon, please do
01:05leave your question on the comment section below. That's it for me Eamon, your
01:09media agony uncle.
