00:36I've been a carer officially really since I was eight. I only recognised him when I was
00:40eleven or twelve so it takes a while for any carer to recognise they are a carer.
00:47Psychiatrist, the nurse, the sociologist, you put all these different hats on and then
00:54you can lose your sense of self as well.
00:57I think we all recognise that we know carers somewhere. Maybe we have stopped and wondered
01:04how on earth we can help.
01:05Just a little bit of recognition and support goes a long way from being carers.
01:09As the unsung heroes for the odd song would not go amiss.
01:14There's young carers up here watching this. I hope that they can see that there are other
01:19people in this situation that are similar to them and that they're not alone.
01:23It's been interesting listening to all your tales and stories and I'm very impressed by
01:29what you have achieved already. So I'm very glad to have been able to join you today.
01:34We'll see you again later.
