00:00Hello and welcome to Good Morning Britain. Here we are in makeup. This isn't quite the start of my day.
00:06I get picked up at quarter past two and in the taxi that brings me into work, I've got all
00:12the papers,
00:13I've got all the briefs to read through what's in the show and then we come here and have a
00:20chat with the producers
00:21and then Ben rolls up and the other presenters roll up and we sit down and have a big meeting
00:27and we go through everything that's in the show.
00:30So after we've done all our preparation, we then come into wardrobe.
00:34Who doesn't love a bit of leopard print? That's what you need, don't you? Wake up, smile, bright colours,
00:40feel good about the world, even if very often the news that we're talking about is pretty depressing.
00:45This is the magic bit. This is where we get turned into TV presenters and look all glamorous and ready
00:51to go on air at six.
00:54Okay, well we better do it then.
00:56Let's do it, Kate.
00:57Shall we go there? Can you find your tie?
00:59She said that's good. Are you going to get changed?
01:15So, we're off there now. We've had our little debrief where we've thought about things we could have done better,
01:22found out what we think might be in the show tomorrow and then I just come in here and collapse,
01:26well, for about two seconds because then of course it's a mad scramble to get changed and run off to
01:32Swedish radio.
01:33This, by the way, is me for Hello magazine about 14 years ago and I know that because my niece
01:41is a baby and she's now 15
01:42and she's with me today doing work experience. So, there you go, that's how long a hello has been in
01:48my life.
01:52Right, here we go. So, this is a crazy dash across Latvia.
01:56Nick, what do you think?
01:58It's easy peasy.
02:00Probably not time to have a cup of tea with the Queen.
02:04We are arriving at Leicester Square, losing our way in to the radio studio.
02:12Nicely done. There we go.
02:15Morning.
02:16On to the smooth radio floor.
02:19Ah, hello. Good to see you.
02:22This is Classic FM. That was Morris Stewart.
02:25And there is Smooth.
02:28My poor beleaguered producer James.
02:32I've arrived, I've made it.
02:44We have the top 10 misheard lyrics at smoothradio.com.
02:51The great thing about coming to Smooth Radio after the sort of craziness of Good Morning Britain
02:57is that the sole purpose of my chair every morning is to help everybody to relax.
03:02So, I get to play some incredible music.
03:05We talk about all sorts of things that are going on in the world, but the stuff that makes you
03:09smile.
03:13Nearly lunchtime. Where does the time go?
03:17Right, that's it. The show's in the bag.
03:20We've done for today.
03:21So, now I'm going to go and have a chat and plan tomorrow's show.
03:24Just got time to do that.
03:26And then dash to the school gates to get the kids.
03:28So, before it all starts again, 2 o'clock tomorrow morning.
03:32So, now I'm going to go and have a chat.
03:33So, now I'm going to go and have a chat.
03:33So, now I'm going to go and have a chat.
03:33You
