00:02Becoming a celebrity is a near impossible feat, and a dream that will remain just a dream for most people.
00:08On the flip side, however, it's actually never been easier to become one.
00:13In the past, you had to be a musician, actor, model, or maybe TV host to be recognized by people.
00:18But now, due to the rise of social media and YouTube, literally anyone can acquire some fame.
00:24And when you're a known vlogger or influencer, companies are eager to send their latest products over for free, hoping
00:31you'll promote them.
00:32Of course, becoming one is easier said than done, so here are some expert tips of what to do and
00:38what not to do.
00:39Getting followers on social media can be really tricky, but what a lot of people are doing is buying followers.
00:47And that's really easy to do. There's so many apps where you can buy 30,000 followers for like $30.
00:54But it's also really easy to tell whose followers are bought and whose are not.
00:59For example, say somebody has 30,000 followers.
01:01If you look at any of their photographs and they only have maybe 100 likes, 200 likes, and very little
01:07engagement,
01:07then you know that their followers are fake because they would have a lot more engagement on each post.
01:13And so brands who are sending them merchandise to post about aren't just going off of followers now.
01:19They're really looking for engagement to see if those followers are authentic.
01:24Still, buying followers isn't a bad thing. Even if companies can see through this trick, it's a good way to
01:30get started regardless.
01:32Having a lot of them will get you higher in recommended channels and searches, and thus is more likely to
01:37get actual people to follow you.
01:39A-listers, definitely, they're not exempt from that either.
01:42Rihanna, Justin Bieber, they've been caught buying followers, or at least their management has been caught buying followers for them.
01:49And Instagram has started to crack down a little bit on fake follows and robots.
01:55The most important tip is to find your own niche if you plan on getting famous through social media.
02:01Basically, everything has been done to death.
02:03Just try looking for successful makeup vloggers or people who give game, movie, or television reviews.
02:09There are hundreds of thousands of those.
02:12Instead, try finding a unique specialty for yourself, buy some followers, put your blood, sweat, and tears into it, and
02:18pray for a miracle.
02:19Who knows, you could be the next big thing.
02:23Just remember who gave you the tips to make it happen.
