00:03Social media fans rejoice because America's sweetheart Julia Roberts has finally joined
00:08Instagram. The pretty woman made her debut on the photo-sharing site with a simple picture
00:12of herself wearing a black sweatshirt that says love and giving a big beaming smile.
00:17She captioned the snap simply, hello, followed by a sunshine emoticon. It's a bit of a surprise
00:22to see the 50-year-old mother of three jumping on the Instagram bandwagon as she's previously
00:27made no secret of her disdain for our modern obsession with online life. In an interview
00:31a few years ago, Roberts said that social media is kind of like cotton candy. It looks so appealing
00:37and you just can't resist getting in there. But then you just end up with sticky fingers
00:41and it lasted an instant. Perhaps to head off the haters, it looks like Julia hasn't enabled
00:45commenting on her account so far, but she already has over 200,000 followers.
