00:06But as far as he's concerned, he's not returning because he never met the character.
00:10It's consumed it to a certain degree, and that's fine.
00:15You know, it becomes sort of, you don't get the variety of, oh, I'm going to do this movie and
00:20then that movie and then this movie because Deadpool 2 is a full-time job.
00:23So it's sort of, you know, Deadpool 2 we've been working on almost since we finished Deadpool 1.
00:28And, you know, but it's, I love it. I love it.
00:31It's really made me appreciate what it's like to find your spot, you know, in this crazy business.
00:38It's consumed so much of his life that he can't imagine having any superpowers other than the ones his character
00:43does.
00:43If I had superpowers, I'd probably do some pretty naughty things.
00:47I would probably do the same stuff Deadpool's doing, considering we sort of share the same brain.
00:51But that doesn't mean he lives his everyday life as Deadpool.
00:54I'm responsible, Ryan Reynolds, not the superhero Deadpool for my children and making a better world for them.
01:01So I take that job pretty seriously.
01:03While he can slip in and out of character where needed, from the sounds of things, his wife Blake Lively
01:07doesn't really mind if he's Ryan or Deadpool when he gets home from a long day of shooting.
01:11She saw a screening of an early cut of the movie and she just flipped out. It was really, it
01:17was a lot of fun.
01:18It's fun to have her see it because she read parts of the script but she didn't know that much.
01:22Which can only be a good thing.
01:24Ryan's career, like most others, has had both highs and lows.
01:28Now that he's at the highest point though, he's able to look back over his life but he wouldn't change
01:32a thing.
01:32All roads lead to here. I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the good and the bad, you know,
01:39different things have happened that, you know, I look back on and I think, oh god, that was a really
01:42tough time.
01:43That was a period of my life that felt like a real valley and, but we've all had our ups
01:49and downs and our highs and lows and, you know, it's just you, those are what make you who you
01:53are.
01:53If your life is just perfect and you're cruising the whole time, you're not really, you know, creating character.
01:59You're not really cultivating aspects of your character outside of what you're comfortable with.
02:02And cultivating aspects of your character is of course very important.
