00:30I'm hoping you can hear me, it's incredibly windy this morning.
00:34As you can see there's the famous door of the Lindo Wing
00:38and there are absolutely hundreds of members of the press already assembled.
00:45So what we do know is that the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted in labour this morning,
00:49we think around 6am or possibly earlier,
00:52and she is inside giving birth or may already have given birth.
00:56So we're waiting for the notification from Hensiton Palace that a baby has been born
01:02and if it follows the pattern of the last two births that could be imminent.
01:07We are going to find out whether it's a new prince or princess very soon, which is very exciting.
01:12And we're also hoping that if all's gone well that we may see the Duke and Duchess emerging from the
01:18hospital,
01:19possibly later today.
01:20So as you can see there's quite a lot of excitement going on around the hospital.
01:24There's some members of the public over there, sorry this is a terrible angle.
01:31What have we seen so far? Very little this morning.
01:33We have seen a couple already emerging with their newborn, which is quite fun.
01:38I don't think they were quite prepared for the sea of cameras, waiting for them outside.
01:43In fact, here they come again.
01:45So there we go.
01:49This is not the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, just for clarification.
01:53This poor couple have had their baby and are leaving the hospital this morning,
01:59getting quite a lot of attention for someone who's just given birth.
02:02I'm sure she's not that delighted about that.
02:05But they seem to be taking it all in good spirits.
02:08I'm going to show you very quickly the photographer's pen as well.
02:12These are the guys who are going to take the all-important photographs of the couple leaving later on today.

04:40Here with all the Royal Correspondents from the UK Press. So everyone's pretty excited. But I'll be honest with you,
04:46we've done this for the third time for me, certainly. And there's a lot of standing around in Royal Victoria.
04:51And you can attest to the back. It's not very warm. It's a little bit chilly, but it's dry. It's
04:55dry. There is some blue sky up there, which you can't see at the moment, but definitely not as warm
05:02as you'd expect.
05:03For a late April day. For a late April day. But, you know, we're having lots of warm coffee from
05:08the lovely staff in the cafe here, who I think are doing a roaring train today.
05:12And we're just watching this space. I mean, you can't see, but just off camera behind me, the guys from
05:19Kensington Palace are looking quite relaxed at the moment.
05:22Just having a coffee, catching up with Royal Correspondent. So I don't think anything is going to happen too imminently.
05:28Of course, we know compared to last time when Princess Charlotte arrived, the news happened quite quickly.
05:33She was taken in and we were told that she'd been admitted about 6.30 in the morning. And we
05:37knew by 9.30 that a baby had arrived.
05:39But labours are always very unpredictable. So it could be a few hours yet. We just don't know.
05:46It's all very exciting. And the atmosphere is building over here. Have you spoken to any of the clouds so
05:50far?
05:51We can see some of them dressed up to the lines in their kind of souvenirs.
05:54There are lots of very dedicated Royal watchers who turn out for these occasions.
05:58And I know some of them, there's a guy called John and Terry, and they've actually been camping out down
06:03here for several days now.
06:05So I think they're obviously thrilled that their wait is soon going to be over. But for all the waiters,
06:10it's a lovely event. It's an exciting time for everyone.
06:14And the nation's watching. People are commenting now. Do you think it's a girl or a boy? You can see
06:18people.
06:18Hi! So I had a little girl nearly a year ago. And I'm very into little girls. I would love
06:23to see another.
06:24But obviously boys are great too. I think it would be really nice for Charlotte to have a little sister.
06:30I don't know what everyone feels out there. What are you thinking?
06:33Let's see the comments. You know it's the conversation that everybody's having in their offices and schools and all around
06:38the country today.

06:40Waiting for that news. When will we find that out? Hours and hours after the actual birth? Because it's the
06:45Queen and members of the family.
06:46The first person to find out is the Queen. So out of perspective, they'll announce the birth to her.
06:52And then obviously the Queen as well. And Kate's parents. And also Michael.
06:57And they'll want to tell her. People don't want to let Chris Harry know, for example.
07:00He's due out and engaging this afternoon with Meghan. So I wish them to leave for them.
07:05I'm not sure they'll get a huge amount of coverage because we're all here to do this.
07:09We were all planning to be at that engagement. I'm sure they're going to be very excited to find out
07:14as well whether they have a new nephew or niece.
07:18And I'm just being distracted by some people for their way hello from this future.
