00:10But it was literally, it was through her and then we met once and then twice, back to back, two
00:16dates in London, last July, beginning of July.
00:21And then it was, I think, about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come
00:29and join me in Botswana.
00:31And we camped out with each other under the stars and we came and joined me for five days out
00:37there, which was absolutely fantastic.
00:38So then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance
00:44to get to know each other.
00:46But the friend who introduced you, was she trying to set you up?
00:48Yes, it was definitely a set-up. It was a blind date.
00:51It was definitely a blind date, for sure.
00:53And it's so interesting because we talk about it now and even then, you know, because I'm from the States,
00:58you don't grow up with the same understanding of the royal family.
01:03And so while I now understand very clearly there's a global interest there, I didn't know much about him.
01:10And so the only thing that I had asked her when she said she wanted to set us up was,
01:14I had one question, I said, well, is he nice?
01:16Because if he wasn't kind, it just didn't, it didn't seem like it would make sense.
01:20And so we went and had a, met for a drink and then I think very quickly into that we
01:26said, well, what are we doing tomorrow?
01:28We should, we should meet again.
01:29What are we doing tomorrow? Let's meet again.
01:31And then it was like, right, diaries, we need to get the diaries out and find out how we're going
01:34to make this work.
01:35Because I was off to Africa for a month and she was working and we just said, right, where's, where's
01:39the gap?
01:41And the gap happened to be in the perfect place.
