Prince William completed his last shift as an air ambulance pilot on Thursday. The 35-year-old royal joined the East Anglian Air Ambulance service back in March 2015 after serving for nearly five years as a helicopter pilot with the RAF's Search and Rescue Force and has carried out numerous call-outs, attending roadside accidents, rescues and suicide attempts.

00:00Squeezing a bit together. Very, very formal this.
00:17All I can say is that he made a space for himself very quickly as a member of a highly
00:22professional team
00:23and he earned the respect of everybody around him.
00:26Prince William has made a fantastic contribution to the team.
00:29It's been an absolute pleasure to have him on board.
00:31He's a hard-working member of the team, always keen to get his hands dirty and help out,
00:36whether it is just cleaning the aircraft or actually at scene helping him out with patients that are critically ill.
00:40He really will be missed because he's a terrific pilot.
00:43He's a great guy to have around. He's been really good at scene
00:46and that's the feedback I get from all of our clinical teams.
00:49Okay, are we ready for the pilot handover?
00:55That's marvellous.
