00:03Now, I'm going to ask you one of our more telling questions for all of our interns.
00:06Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
00:08When I'm 80.
00:10This film will give people what they've come to expect from Nancy Meyers.
00:17My infantry keeps busy.
00:19Everybody loves him.
00:23Nancy has a certain precision for comedy.
00:28That's the kind of film that Nancy does.
00:30It's a very, in some ways, classic Hollywood comedy, if you will.
00:36Dad, what are you doing?
00:39Exfoliating.
00:40To me, it's really about just telling the story.
00:43Plot is not generally what drives me or my films.
00:46It's the relationships.
00:47I'm having an affair with a married man.
00:49You're not saying.
00:50Oh, yes, I am.
00:55Turns out, I'm a bit of a slut.
00:57Her movies are perfection.
01:01I'm Fiona, the house masseuse.
01:02Ben.
01:04How's that, Ben?
01:05Oh, boy.
01:08Here you go.
01:10Wait.
01:11You're not as old as I thought you were.
01:14She's got this balance of heart and comedy and sincerity.
01:20That's sort of her trademark.
01:21Being able to strike that tone of the drama and the real human relationships and the fantastic dialogue.
01:28Excuse me.
01:28Sir, is green the only color that's coming?
01:32When you make a movie and you're the writer and you're the director, your vision is going to carry through
01:36with each movie.
01:37So you're going to be able to say, that's a Nancy Meyers movie.
01:39That's a Nancy Meyers movie.
01:41No!
01:41You stay where you are.
01:43I have an intruder in my house.
01:44You don't understand.
01:45I'm dating your daughter.
01:47You're dating my daughter?
01:48Now, who would have thought that would be worse news?
01:51This is no exception to that.
01:53I think that the fans of her previous films will see that this is a very familiar world in a
01:58lot of ways that Nancy has created in the past.
02:01Well, you see, that's the funny thing.
02:02I can't have a baby because I have a 1230 lunch meeting.
02:07You know, we're used to seeing Nancy make movies about people who are in their 30s, 40s, sometimes 60s.
02:14But in this one, she's looking at millennials.
02:17And so it's a really fun playground.
02:19You should dress to impress.
02:20Tuck in the shirt.
02:21Why doesn't anybody tuck anything in anymore?
02:23Oh, I'm asking you.
02:24I think after Something's Gotta Give, then the holiday, then it's complicated.
02:29It was a lot about love relationships, and there are other kinds of relationships.
02:33Say cheese.
02:35I always wanted to make a movie about a friendship between a man and a woman that didn't have to
02:39cross over into any other place.
02:41You're my intern.
02:42Well, I was going to say intern slash best friend.
02:49When you buy a ticket to one of her films, there's an expectation, and she always delivers.
02:54It's the whole picture, no pun intended.
02:58Look and learn, boys, because this is what cool is.
03:00How in one generation have men gone from guys like Jack Nicholson and Harrison Ford to...
03:07Public.
03:09There's no stopping us, we will carry on.
03:18There's no stopping us, we will carry on.
03:19There's no stopping us, we will carry on to, by the way, by the way, by the way.
03:20It's the whole picture, but it's the whole picture, and it's the whole picture, and it's the whole picture, so
03:20it's the whole picture.
