00:14You know, about five or six years ago,
00:16or maybe seven years ago,
00:18maybe, I don't know, I started to
00:19become aware that things
00:21like that were happening,
00:23and then really
00:25became aware of like, oh wait, I gotta really watch
00:28what I eat, and I have to, you know,
00:30make sure I stretch, and exercise,
00:32and go to the doctor,
00:34and make sure I get these things checked out, because
00:36all this stuff is very,
00:37it is very real, but it's stuff I didn't think about
00:40for whatever, the first 40 years of my life.
00:42I think getting older is,
00:43it can be daunting, and just life,
00:46you know, life is
00:48a very,
00:49can be a very scary thing, but it's also
00:51an incredible, great thing, so there's,
00:53you know, that experience,
00:56as you mature,
00:58becomes, I think
00:59it helps you appreciate life
01:01a lot more.

01:06When we first met, you wooed me with romantic
01:09emails. It wouldn't make sense for me
01:11to send you emails now,
01:13we're in the same room all the time.
01:15In a way, I do feel like,
01:17sort of amazed at how
01:21confident and
01:23comfortable
01:23a lot of the young people are today.
01:27Whenever I say that,
01:28I feel like I sound like, you know,
01:30an old guy, which I am.
01:32But, you know, there's a certain, I think
01:33it comes maybe out of growing up with
01:36a lot of input,
01:38you know, and a lot of access to
01:39social media, you know, just so much
01:41more at their fingertips, that I
01:43think there's a development, not necessarily
01:45a maturation, but just a
01:47development that happens earlier. I think about
01:49when I was that age,
01:51if I had all this, you know,
01:54Facebook and Twitter and all
01:55these different ways that you sort of have to
01:57define yourself and put out a
01:59profile of yourself to the world, I
02:01can't imagine, you know, as an awkward
02:03teenager what I would have done with that,
02:05or how I would have botched that, you know?
02:08Or the pressure of that, really.
02:09It's a pressure, I think, to say, okay,
02:11you know, what do I, what represents me
02:13at a time when you're trying to figure it out?
02:15So, that's what I find a little bit
02:17maybe, you know,
02:19kind of concerning, is that you have to sort
02:21of create this public persona for
02:23yourself, or choose not to,
02:25and that's making another choice, you know,
02:26saying, I'm not going to engage, which then would have
02:29its own repercussions in, you know,
02:31for kids today, because everybody's doing it.
02:34For the first time in my life, I've stopped thinking
02:36of myself as a child imitating an adult.
