00:00The Duke of Cambridge has shown off his royal assets in London.
00:04Prince William took to an open air swimming pool, a mask in hand to mark becoming the
00:08president of the British Sub-Aqua Club.
00:10His father, the Prince of Wales, looked on as William went through a series of routines
00:14with a group of budding divers.
00:16And the Prince was humble when he spoke of the role he was embarking upon.
00:20It's a great honour to be here with my father, to accept the presidency of the British Sub-Aqua
00:25Club, continuing that from my grandfather as well.
00:28And, like them, I can proudly say I learnt to dive with the club and share your passion
00:32for the sport and the underwater environment.
00:34I hope that one day my son George might follow in our footsteps, at the moment bath time is
00:38quite painful.
00:40But I imagine as he gets a little bit older, donning a mask in a snorkel might calm him
00:44down.
00:46I look forward to working with BZAC to encourage even more young people to dive, to help develop
00:50the next generation of underwater explorers, pioneers and protectors.
00:54The presidency has become somewhat of a family tradition, with William becoming the third
00:59generation of the monarchy to take the helm, following on from his father and grandfather.
01:04And with a gift for Prince George presented to William, it's safe to say that tradition
01:09is set to stay within the family.
