00:00Obviously here today I'm learning to drive which is pretty cool. I think it's
00:05about time that I learned to drive you know 25 years old late bloomer. This is
00:09my car it's subtle which is good so I'm gonna be hidden I'm like a mysterious
00:14driver I'm like Batman of the driving world basically means that everyone in
00:18Chelsea is gonna see my mistake which is gonna be good. I've got my driving shoes
00:22driving Gucci's which is pretty good. I'm also excited because you get your
00:26driving instructor you have to do like an online dating you ask questions about
00:30personality. It's a personality test so I'm expecting to have you know some some
00:35cute girl who's obviously very talkative and fun and exciting you know we might
00:39even end up dating I don't know we're gonna be spending a lot of time together
00:42I'm excited to start driving at last. My mum is gonna be proud everyone's gonna be
00:46proud it could be my instructor coming now I'd say.
00:50Hello. Afternoon. Afternoon. Hi buddy I'm Jamie. Nice to meet you I'm Dean. How's it going?
00:55And Dean you are the? Your driving instructor. Really? Perfect. Yes. Woo!
01:02Well do we get in? Do you check it out? Of course yeah let's have a look inside. Who opens
01:06my door for me?
01:09You gotta open it yourself. Relatively familiar with a manual vehicle. What does manual mean?
01:16Oh God. Releasing the handbrake? Oh there's the handbrake gone. The handbrake was on. I'm driving!
01:23I'm driving. Okay. So scary it's a road. Okay. Did I stall it?
01:31We did stall it. Okay. Alright. I think it's about time for me to take over. I think you're right.
01:37So close to the pavement. You're on a double yellow. Okay. Do you know the best thing about cars?
01:42Tell me. Tell me. The mirrors. Why? Because you're looking at yourself. How long have you been driving instructor for?
01:50I've been a driving instructor for six and a half years. I've been driving for about seventeen and a bit.
01:54Nice.
01:55Roundabout's the scariest thing on the road. That's right. The larger ones are pretty tricky.
01:58They're so hard. Every car's going for all different directions. Where are you going to turn?
02:02The gold one. That is mine. Here it comes. Oh it's my dad. This is embarrassing.
02:10Sweet. Can I wear driving gloves? Yes. So let me just give you a little bit of synopsis.
02:14What I want to do is just assess where you're at with your drive. Okay. So just so I can
02:17pick up
02:18what sorts of things we can work on next time. Do the best you can. Okay. Get used to the
02:21car a little bit as well. Alright.
02:23You got it. Oh check, check, check, check. Okay. Alright. I think.
02:30What's my gear? Clutch down. First gear. That's it. That was a little joke. It's a joke.
02:36I'm just testing you then. Right. See you in. Yeah. That was a smooth operator. Nice.
02:46Really nice. Now, gear one to gear two is always a pretty sharp change as well. So you're going to
02:49use one of the... That's good to gently off the clutch. That's alright. You'll come over time.
02:56That's it. And we'll commit. Okay. And then at the end of the road, we're turning left. Again,
03:00be very careful as we get ourselves out to the end. This is scary. That's it. You've got a nice
03:04clear
03:05view. Okay. Oh, that was as freaking as we've got a bike. Take your time. You're alright. Take your time.
03:09Flashing amber means go if no one's on the crossing. Okay. Good old. Alright. When you're ready,
03:15then we're just going to take ourselves straight back into the parking bay.
03:17Okay. Brake on. Clutch all the way down as well. There we go. Did you see that parking?
03:26Like... I don't want to boast or be arrogant or anything like that. You know, it's just one
03:29of the best part. I don't know why people just park in like once. What, just park across them?
03:33Apparently I was so good. The only other person ever to be as good at that the first time
03:37driving was Rose Hamilton. It wasn't quite as good as that. We're going to need a little bit
03:40more work than that. Probably quite a few hours actually. Like a few hours, like three.
03:45I'm probably near a twenty. Right, let's go and have a picnic. Okay.
03:49Where did you get those trousers from? Clutching with me.
03:58Clutching with me.
03:59Clutching with me.
04:00Clutching with me.
04:00Clutching with me.
04:01Clutching with me.
04:01Clutching with me.
04:01Clutching with me.
