00:00They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy.
00:03What a bunch of a-holes.
00:07I'm hooked on a feeling
00:11I'm high on believing
00:14That you're in love with me
00:17The fans can expect to be entertained and to be taken for a beautiful ride
00:22where they'll get to feel, they'll be inspired, they'll be knocked off their socks.
00:27They won't believe their eyes. It's an all kind of movie.
00:32Oh, you know, it's going to be a lot of fun to watch.
00:35A movie like this, there are elements of fun in making it, but it's work.
00:39It's real work, and we worked very, very hard for a long time,
00:42and I think it paid off because it's really fun to watch.
00:45I had to work out four times a week, and I had to train in martial arts every day that
00:49I wasn't shitting
00:50just to try and get near the standard of Zoe Saldana, who is amazing.
00:54So I worked very hard to be able to do that.
00:57We arrested these five on Xandar. Check out the rap sheets.
01:01Drax, AKA the Destroyer. Since his wife and family were killed,
01:04he's been on a rampage across the galaxy in a search for vengeance.
01:09Gamora, soldier, assassin, wanted on over a dozen counts of murder.
01:13Rocket, wanted on over 50 charges of vehicular theft and escape from lock-up.
01:18What the hell?
01:20Root, he's been traveling recently as Rocket's personal houseplant slash muscle.
01:26Peter Jason Quill, he's also known as Star-Lord.
01:30Who calls him that?
01:32Himself, mostly.
01:33He's wanted largely on charges of minor assault, public intoxication, and fraud.
01:39Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know how this machine worked.
01:43Yeah, this movie is a little different than anything you've seen before.
01:46It's not a superhero film. You have an origin of who this character is,
01:49but it's really more of an emotional journey and a story about relationships between these characters.
01:54There are some amazing and spectacular, epic scenes and just imaginative,
02:02just imagination on screen the entire movie. It's beautiful, but it is unlike anything you've ever seen before.
02:07The great thing is that we kept our sense of humor, and I feel like that's what helped with all
02:10the work that we had to do.
02:11We shot for five months, six to eight weeks, you know, long, long hours of makeup and long, long hours
02:16of shooting.
02:16So what got us through all of that was the fact that we all really liked each other and got
02:20along.
02:21Well, I mean, for me, this is the chance of a lifetime to create a space opera, which I always
02:25wanted to do.
02:26I love Marvel movies. I love space operas. I love raccoons. So it's all my favorite things in one fell
02:32swoop.
02:32Are you telling me that the fate of 12 billion people is in the hands of a thief, two thugs,
02:40a murderer, and a maniac?
02:44This might not be the best idea.
02:50We will not stand by as evil.
02:53It wipes out billions of innocent lives.
02:57Why would you risk your life for this?
02:59Because by now, life's giving us a chance.
03:05If we don't protect the galaxy, who will?
03:10We'll follow your lead.
03:12Oh, yeah.
03:22This is gonna hurt.
03:27I have a plan.
03:28You've got a plan.
03:29I have part of a plan.
03:35It's a fake laugh.
03:37It's real.
03:38Totally fake.
03:38I am Groot.
03:40Oh.
03:41It's done.
03:42Oh.
03:46It's lost.
03:48I haven't seen.
03:48Oh.
03:49Oh, man, obviously.
03:50When you take a light, if you can do something,
