00:00I went to jail a couple of times now.
00:03Let's see, what research did I do?
00:05I did a lot, you know, I did stuff that I really couldn't use after a while.
00:08It became more instinctual when we were on the set,
00:11and my relationship with Kate became much more necessary than I thought.
00:16A lot of times with chemistry,
00:18you have chemistry with somebody that can actually work against you.
00:20When you don't like an actor, it can actually work for you,
00:23because there's more electricity there.
00:25I really like Kate a lot, and it scared me.
00:29The fact that, you know, it was so easy with her,
00:32and yet, for some reason,
00:35we still had a lot of electricity every day between us.
00:39She knows that I'm in love with her, and has been, and will ever be.
00:43And so does Ned, by the way.
00:45He knows it, too, and he's okay with it.
00:47Absolutely.
00:47I mean, Jason, initially, he said, you know,
00:50what do you think about Kate?
00:51I was like, are you kidding me?
00:52You know, and then you have that movie star thing,
00:55and that's what, you know, with Jason, it's so wonderful,
00:57because he's going to cast the person that's most right for the role as a person
01:00as opposed to a person that you have to get
01:03because, therefore, the financiers will be okay with it
01:05because it models out that it'll make this much money back and all that.
01:09We didn't really have to deal with that,
01:11so he and I were both very, very keen on Kate,
01:14and she couldn't do it right away, so we had to wait.
01:16So we ended up both doing a movie separately.
01:20You know, he did Young Adult, and I did Men in Black 3,
01:23and then finally when Kate was available and said yes, voila.
