00:09I'm Mary Berry and I'm here with all the family for the Hello Christmas lunch.
00:18While I'm here, the family are in the garden, rushing around, chasing each other.
00:25Annabelle is in makeup with two of the girls looking at her hoping that they're going to get a turn
00:32because they've looked forward to this very special day.
00:52Christmas is a time that I really get baking because in the school holidays I have my grandchildren and we
01:00bake biscuits.
01:01Even little Atalanta will make a jelly and put some mandarin oranges in it. We do all sorts of things.
01:15We always find that present opening is best after lunch but I know that the children perhaps open one or
01:22two,
01:23usually from their parents, in the morning because it's nice to have something special to do all day.
01:29And my husband keeps some of his for the next day.
01:42Once all the presents are opened, we usually actually have an interval because we can't miss the Queen's speech set
01:48at 3 o'clock.
01:49We'll most likely have a cup of tea and a piece of cake and then it's on to the games.
01:55Because we have to have those quite early because everybody takes part.
01:58And they're old fashioned games like charades and everybody enjoys that.
02:16Christmas for me wouldn't be Christmas without the family.
02:21Years ago we always used to go to my parents and my brothers came too with all their families.
02:28So we just find it's an essential time to all be together and that's how we like it.
