00:00It's not about the money, money, money. We don't need your money, money, money. We just want to make the
00:06world dance. Forget about the prices.
00:11For my album, it was just, I wanted to take a risk. The one thing it represents is how I
00:15saw life going from a 17-year-old to a young adult.
00:18You know, being a teenager and what you go through. You have to live and learn. You have to make
00:22mistakes.
00:22And I kind of want to be an inspiration for young people through my health and just be that ray
00:27of light that they can go, I want to be like her and I want to embrace that.
00:31I want to devote my life to saving other people through my music. I hope that people can see my
00:35album as a gift.
00:36A really simple question. What do you look forward to the most about playing live, about being on stage?
00:42I love live the most out of everything, you know. That's why I started doing this.
00:47I always say I love the photo shoots and interviews and stuff but I'm a singer, you know. I love
00:52singing and I love that it's my time.
00:55I like the fact that there's that spontaneity of I might lay down or take my shoes off or put
00:59it all over my face or get someone on stage or bring someone out.
01:02And no one knows and that's what I think is so beautiful about live is that it's live, you know.
01:07The most amazing feeling of gigs now is people singing along.
01:11I love to sing and I should be good at it. I always say you wouldn't want a heart surgeon
01:14to perform an operation on you and be apologetic for their talent.
01:18It has been this mad journey, it hasn't even started yet. What's your advice for the people right at the
01:23beginning of that journey who want to sing, who want to be getting up on stage?
01:28It's really hard because I don't ever disregard the fact that however hard you work, you know, it doesn't always
01:36guarantee it's gonna happen.
01:38And that's the thing that you have to just believe. If you don't believe in you, no one else will
01:43even bother to look at you.
01:44And I shoved myself around any open mics, any gigs, the amount of stuff. I've probably done, even up to
01:51now, 80-90% of all my gigs for free.
01:54Surround yourself with people that you can trust. Surround yourself with people that let you be you.
01:58Don't ever, like, compromise but don't ever, you know, lose what makes you you. Right from the heart.
02:06Stay happy and always remember there's always someone worse off than you. And there's always someone that's working harder than
02:12you as well.
02:12When you're asleep there's someone grafting. And that's what you have to remember as well, that for every 10 CDs
02:17you send off, there's someone sending off 100.
02:19Just get yourself out there as much as you can and film everything. It's one thing I've learned.
02:23I'm glad that I did footage from years ago that when people say to me, oh, you've copied so-and
02:27-so, you've done this, you've done that.
02:28I'm like, go on YouTube five years ago and sing the same songs with the same haircut.
02:32It's just, you've got to have fun as well. Write it down. Make sure you write it down, take pictures
02:36and make sure it's a journey.
02:38And the journey is way more important than where you end up.
02:42And that's what you have to remember.
02:43For the next few years, the next five years, how do you see it?
02:47I want to start charities up. I want to earn money to give money away.
02:52I want to do whatever I can. I've just secured a gig with Tiny Temper. I'm supporting him for the
02:57Teenage Cancer Trust at Royal Albert Hall on my birthday.
02:59And I just want to, I want to do campaigns. I want to dress up. I want to do product
03:04campaigns. I'd love to have my own TV show.
03:07I would love to have my own clothing line. I own perfume. Everyone wants their own perfume, right?
03:12I want to do that. I want to create an amazing tour. I'd love to, I'd, my, one of my
03:15dreams is to be at the O2 by the end of this year.
03:18Yeah. And I know it's, but you've got to dream big. I want to get a little friend for my
03:22Brit and I'm hoping that's a Grammy.
03:24So they can hang out. Just, there's so many things I want to do. And I just always think, never
03:30say never.
