00:04People consider washing their hair a chore, but it doesn't have to be.
00:07I'm going to give you some top tips on how you can make looking after your hair a spa-like
00:11experience.
00:12The first thing you want to do is a nice big stretch in the morning.
00:15Wake yourself up, open up those airways and get the circulation going.
00:19The next thing you want to do is declutter your area.
00:22Get rid of all those kids' toys, get rid of the dirty laundry and make it your personal
00:25space.
00:26The last thing you want to do is brush your hair.
00:28This will give you a tangle-free base ready for your shampoo and conditioning.
00:32My top tip would be turn your head upside down and brush from root to tip.
00:36This will promote healthy hair.
00:39So you're ready to wash your hair.
00:41All of us are guilty of not taking enough time for this and rushing it through.
00:45It's really important to slow it down, take your time, use it as a pamper and indulgent
00:49experience.
00:50It's really important to choose the right shampoo for your hair type.

00:59Apply the shampoo.
01:00Really work it through the roots with your fingertips and give yourself a nice massage.
01:04Apply the conditioner to the mid-length of your hair.
01:07Really work it through with your fingers, concentrating on the tips.
01:10My top tip for when you get out of the shower is get a small hand towel, pop it over
01:14the shoulder,
01:15with one hand grab the back of the towel and with the other hand grab the front.
01:19Gently look away and pull down slightly.
01:21This will give you a nice gentle neck stretch and release any tension that's built up in
01:26this area.
