12:06how does this save lives?
12:08when they give you treatments for cancer
12:10sometimes it kills your blood cells
12:12and you need to replenish with fresh blood
12:14every year 400,000 kids worldwide get cancer
12:18not 400,000 people, 400,000 kids
12:20kids get cancer
12:21no child should die of cancer
12:23we desperately need blood
12:25you're a hero
12:26your dad donated blood
12:27now you gotta be nice to him the next week
12:28you're here and you're saving lives
12:30only 2-3% of eligible adults actually donate blood
12:34thankfully you brought out all these amazing people today to donate
12:37and it's because of them
12:39we've received enough blood to save a thousand lives

13:23so the children don't have to go
13:25two and a half years of toxic therapy
13:26and like Stand Up To Cancer
13:28who are working every day to change that
13:30and together
13:31every step brings us a little closer
13:33to a world without cancer
13:34I was diagnosed at 21 years old
13:37with the help of research and innovation
13:39I was able to get other treatment opportunities
13:41five years cancer free
13:43so we're good
