00:00Back to the Future in many ways is a perfect trilogy, but did you know a deleted scene of
00:05the first movie reveals a hidden truth? There has been speculation about whether George and
00:10Lorraine McFly are actually aware of their son's time-traveling antics. After all, when Marty
00:15visits them in 1955, he mentions Darth Vader, plays Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode on stage,
00:20and even calls himself Calvin Klein, all things existing in later years. Surely they join the
00:26dots together, right? Well, an original draft of the first movie had a very different ending which
00:31answered that question. In 1985, George McFly is reading a digital scrapbook and comes to a 1955
00:37newspaper headline reading, Police Quell Near Riot at School Dance. He notices a picture of Marty on
00:44stage and says, nah, couldn't be, before realizing it is indeed his son, and whispers, but it is.
00:51Instead, writer Bob Gale and director Robert Zemeckis changed the ending, and later had Biff
00:56is the one becoming aware of Marty's time-traveling.
