00:00Fever's Clark has 8th Tech rescinded. Won't be suspended.
00:04Chicago. The WNBA quickly rescinded a technical fall against Caitlin Clark on Saturday after the
00:10Indiana Fever star received what would have been her 8th of the season during a game against the
00:15Chicago Sky. By league rule, an 8th technical foul would have triggered a one-game suspension.
00:21The Fever appealed the technical immediately after their 90-86 win,
00:25and the league reversed the call less than two hours after the game.
00:29Clark will now be available to play against the New York Liberty on Tuesday in Indianapolis.
00:34During the third quarter, Clark made contact with an official out-of-bounds along the baseline.
00:40A bump from the defending Natasha Cloud seemed to cause Clark's momentum to carry her into light
00:46contact with the official. Crew Chief Maj Forsberg explained after the game, but before the technical
00:51was rescinded, that the official deemed that Clark intentionally made contact. Therefore,
00:57a technical fall was assessed. Fever coach Stephanie White also was called for a technical fall while
01:03arguing the technical against Clark. My tech was for saying that's bulls. Even though I heard the
01:09F-bomb the whole F-I-N-G game, White said. White said she thought the technical against Clark was
01:15a bad
01:16call, describing it as incidental contact when you're flying out of control. I thought her teammates
01:21should have come up and talked to her about that as well. White said. I think it's really bad.
01:26That S. Happens all the time in a game. Officials have to have some awareness in those moments,
01:32and it didn't happen.
