Ukrainian drone explodes near border between Romania and Bulgaria, Kyiv promises inquiry

Bulgaria's prime minister said both Bulgarian and Romanian authorities had failed to pick up the drone as it made its way through their respective airspace.

00:19after an inquiry. Bulgarian Prime Minister Ruman Radev earlier announced on Saturday that an
00:25explosion occurred after a drone crash shortly after entering its airspace from Romania. It
00:32crashed just one kilometer from the compressor station of the Transbalkan gas pipeline, an
00:37international energy hub connecting Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine. Radev
00:44detailed in an address to the media that the explosion did not result in any casualties,
00:49as he announced that Romania and Bulgaria both realized a need for increased surveillance
00:54operations after the drone violated both their airspaces undetected.
