00:07Honestly, it's hard to describe my feelings because I feel like I'm still speechless,
00:12but I just feel so much gratitude and, I don't know, I just, you know,
00:19this victory goes to so many people that were with me along this very long road
00:25without, like, proper big wins, so I just feel like I want to say thank you to almost everyone,
00:31but, yeah, I don't know, honestly, I'm just so tired and so blown away with what just happened,
00:37and actually, it was so funny because as we started to climb the mountain too,
00:42I looked right and I saw my parents, like, they made a surprise visit
00:46and I could see my dad crying and I was like, I just need to make them proud, you know,
00:50and, yeah, so this victory just goes to my family, to my friends, to my team,
00:56to my husband Taylor, to my coach Louis, because especially, yeah,
01:03and also my team boss Ronnie because they know how much effort I put into this victory
01:09and they were always by my side and listening to my complaints,
01:13so it's a long speech right now, but, yeah, I'm just blown away.
01:17Until today, you were the only Tour de France winner with no stage victory.
01:22How much did you want to fix it?
01:25I think I was not, I never really, like, chased the victory for the sake of winning.
01:30I chased it for the sake of this beautiful feeling,
01:33and I came here to Mont Ventoux with my friends, with my husband,
01:36and we rode the climb three times, we had fun, we sprinted, we did efforts,
01:41and it was just about this amazing feeling from being around here.
01:45It feels like at the top of the mountain, and from that moment,
01:50I just wanted to have that feeling coming here as well,
01:52this, like, pure joy of riding, feeling like a kid, you know,
01:56feeling like bike racing or riding is so cool,
01:59because we can go anywhere we want and just love every pedal stroke.
02:03Let's talk about the race. Were you surprised to drop Marlen and Demi so far away from the finish?
02:11Honestly, my idea was that I need to just make it to Chalet,
02:16which is six k's to go on my own, because then I knew that with the wind that we had
02:21today,
02:22if somebody is chasing behind, then they will try to stay on the wheel as much as possible.
02:26So, yeah, once I made it to Chalet, of course, it wasn't nice for me,
02:31because there was a lot of headwind, but I knew that in the back they will just play the game.
