00:16It's the very first time for me to be in New York, and I'm enjoying every bit of it.
00:20The weather is so cold, but the excitement is more than that, and I'm so, so happy and
00:26glad to be here as the Miss Universe and to start my journey with the Miss Universe organization.
00:40Well I've been to the Central Park and I've been to the Empire State Building, and I have
00:45had a wonderful time there exploring the place and to know more about it, and I'm looking
00:51forward to going to a lot of new places like Statue of Liberty, especially Times Square,
00:57because that has been my dream, and I'm so excited to share my pictures and be there
01:02for the first time.
01:11I think I was filled with a plethora of different emotions because I was excited, I was nervous,
01:16and I was like, we are this close to winning, but at the same time I was grateful to be
01:21at that stage representing myself and my country and to talk about the things that I believed
01:27in.
01:27And I was so glad that I got the opportunity to speak in front of the audience and talk
01:33about the most impactful things regarding climate change or something that I was believing
01:39in.
01:40And I think I was happy and grateful and at the same time I was praying hard.
01:48Well my mom was in the temple and she was praying hard for me the time the whole passion
01:54was happening, the finale night, and my brother was the one who called her and told her that
01:59we won.
02:00And she was crying all the way her back to home and my family is so, so happy and excited.
02:20Everything was happening so quickly.
02:22The time I was crowned, I knew that I had gotten the responsibilities of being the Miss Universe.
02:29And at the same time, I didn't get to meet her after that because she got busy with her
02:33own formalities and I got busy too.
02:36But we talked on chat and I'm looking forward to go maybe to Paraguay and meet her or maybe
02:43if she comes to India because we were planning throughout the journey and we were really close
02:47throughout the journey.
02:48So I'm excited to meet her in the upcoming year.
02:57I make sure that I wake up around 6-7 a.m. probably because I'm so excited to witness the
03:03beauty
03:03of New York.
03:04And I eat a lot of yogurt is what I was telling to my team.
03:08So yes, I just make sure that I listen to music, listen to news, do some yoga, workout
03:14and looking forward to the next day what all that I will have.
03:34For me, it has always been to be the natural look, you know, just to apply some foundation
03:40and just mascara and lipstick kind of thing.
03:43For me, it's like everyday makeup.
03:45So I hardly take like 30 minutes, I think, like 30 to 45 minutes just to enjoy the vibe
03:50and just enjoy whatever I'm doing.
03:53And that's because I'm so excited to start my day.
03:56So I don't want to waste a lot of time and makeup and everything.
04:03Well, my advocacy is regarding women empowerment.
04:07And it's something which is very close to my heart because my mom being a gynecologist,
04:11she has always made sure that we talk about the menstrual hygiene.
04:14And I think it's very important for every women out there that we need to talk about our own health
04:19because it has been deprioritized.
