00:00:25Well, welcome to this episode of the Basic Series, this is on the Luminaries, we're concluding
00:00:32the book of Coming Home, Volume 6, which is Maorath, Luminaries, with the story of Ruth
00:00:39and Boaz, we're currently in the fourth chapter of the presentation of the relationship between
00:00:46Ruth and Boaz and everything they represent, and well I thought yesterday we might finish
00:00:52it today, I don't think that's the case, but we will certainly tomorrow.
00:00:58The story here is really important, I don't think there's one in a thousand people that
00:01:06even know there's a book of Ruth, and sandwiched between the book of Shafat Judges and the books
00:01:15attributed to Shamuel listened to God, but yes there it is, and I don't think there's one
00:01:22person in a thousand, maybe in a hundred thousand, that knows that the last story prior to the
00:01:30book of Ruth is one of the most tragic ever told, which is in the concluding chapters of
00:01:38Shafat Judges, where there is a rape and dismemberment of a woman, and an ensuing civil war that presents
00:01:50how decayed Israel had become, and then this story emerges out of that, out of the abuse of a woman,
00:01:59you have the love of a woman, out of a woman who was disempowered, you have one who was highly
00:02:09empowered.
00:02:12From a bunch of men acting badly, we find one acting extraordinarily well, and while that is story enough
00:02:22for us to see that bad can be overcome by good, the principal benefit of the book of Ruth is
00:02:33that it is
00:02:34prophetic, and it's not prophetic of little things, it's prophetic of the really big things.
00:02:41You see, among the five people who are the most frequent contributors to God's story, one of them is a
00:02:50woman.
00:02:51Her name is Ruth, she is the Amma, and as the Amma, she appears throughout God's story, going back 6
00:03:00,000 years.
00:03:01She is the wife of Chanuk, she is the wife of Noach, she is the mother of Shem, who is
00:03:08the name of Names,
00:03:09and therefore also of Dod. She is the mother of Moshe, as the Yachobed, the one significant to Yahweh,
00:03:20she then appears here as Ruth, the Moabite woman, who is so prophetic, so profound, so brilliant
00:03:34throughout this story. And then we have Ruth returning as the surrogate mother of Dodd, once he
00:03:42and Yahweh fall out of Communicato and the relationship falls apart, she plays a major role in redeeming the Redeemer,
00:03:53bringing her surrogate son back into the fold, because she knows him well, she was his great-grandmother as Ruth.
00:04:02Then she returns with Boaz a thousand years later, and they are the actual mother of the kinsman-redeemer of
00:04:13Emmanuel,
00:04:14giving birth to him and raising him so that he, Dodd, would fulfill Pesach, Matzah, and Bakudim in 33 CE.
00:04:23It's an amazing story, and now she lives again. She is the wife of God's daughter, of his nakar,
00:04:37observant foreigner, just as she pronounced in this story of the other ga'al, Redeemer.
00:04:46And while in that story she announces that she is the Amma, she also announces that she is delivering
00:04:53the ga'al, the Redeemer, out of which there are two, her great-grandson and also her husband.
00:05:01And so this story is so full of prophetic implications, particularly now as we've entered the time of trouble
00:05:10and have so little time left to conceive that mortal remnant that will return to the garden
00:05:17during the fall celebration of Chag Sukha in year 6000, yeah, 2033.
00:05:23And at this point, Ruth, as the Amma, has returned, and she is actively engaged,
00:05:31trying to restore the reputation of her beloved son, Dodd,
00:05:35that has been stolen from him to create the myth of Jesus Christ.
00:05:43So here we are in the midst of a story that is more profound, has greater depth,
00:05:51is more relevant than most any prophecy ever shared, and there's not, as I say,
00:05:57not one in a million that is cognizant of it.
00:06:03One of the other aspects of the book of Ruth is it shows Naomi, who is Ruth's mother-in-law,
00:06:11as a cantankerous, embittered old hag that wants to blame God for all of her misfortunes.
00:06:22She represents Israel in this regard.
00:06:25She even goes so far as to demean Yahweh.
00:06:30And yet, Ruth restores her.
00:06:34But she's not the only malcontent that needs restoring,
00:06:38although the others do not show any indication that they would be restored on this day or any day,
00:06:45at least prior to seven years from now.
00:06:48And that is the elders of Israel, those who would present themselves as the great ones today, rabbis.
00:06:58They were cantankerous and were going to now get into that part of the story.
00:07:04The things that they said never should have been said, and yet they said them anyway.
00:07:11And that's also indicative of what Israel became and what Israel remains
00:07:17and how difficult the job is to try to resolve this.
00:07:25That Israel's relationship with Yahweh is a little like Wookiees trying to protect his chew toy.
00:07:35Besides, this is one of the elders.
00:07:39This is the man that was in the position to have performed as a redeemer of Ruth and of Israel
00:07:48had he had the courage, the fortitude, the wherewithal to do so.
00:07:54But he didn't.
00:07:56And rather than to just admit, you know, I don't, he had to rub it in and try to upset
00:08:05Boaz,
00:08:06who was doing the right thing for the right reason.
00:08:08But he said, nevertheless, besides, you've decided to be the one who pays the price to redeem.
00:08:16You've agreed to be the savior all by yourself.
00:08:19He said, accordingly, as for my rights, my responsibilities to acquire redemption for Ken,
00:08:31it's apparent that I'm inadequate and incapable and that I'd fail because, well,
00:08:40you think I don't have what it takes to accomplish something this significant.
00:08:46By paying the price or by making this sacrifice to redeem.
00:08:53It was true.
00:08:54But why say it in that way?
00:08:56Why be nasty about it?
00:08:58The fact is he didn't have what it takes.
00:09:00In fact, if you were to go through the whole history of humankind,
00:09:06there's only two people who have shown the willingness to pay the price,
00:09:12to offer the sacrifice, to redeem the covenant family and the remnant of Yisrael.
00:09:22And both of them are in this story.
00:09:28Boaz and his great grandson, Dod.
00:09:36Well, just because it's true and it was true with and remains true with the elders of Yisrael,
00:09:47doesn't make it right to say it this way.
00:09:50Cowardice is never appealing, especially when mixed in a with a heavy dose of condensation.
00:09:57Israel has indeed forfeited its calling and Jews have abandoned their father,
00:10:04erasing his name from their lives.
00:10:08They were named Yisrael, which means to engage and endure with God.
00:10:16They were named Yahud, the compound of Yahweh's name, and Dod's Yahud.
00:10:25And it means beloved of Yah.
00:10:27But they changed it to a race Yahweh's name, to Jew.
00:10:32What's left, of course, now is an empty shell tossed around by the sea.
00:10:39Now, fortunately, Yahweh cared enough and was sufficiently loyal to intervene,
00:10:45as required by deploying a man and a woman of considerable courage at this time.
00:10:53They had character.
00:10:55They had conviction.
00:10:57And in case you may have missed it,
00:10:59it is essential to this story that you recognize the role that Boaz and Ruth play.
00:11:08To resolve the lack of character, conviction, and courage of Yisrael.
00:11:19They are the best that Yisrael would see for a very long time.
00:11:30This is the face and the appearance of Yisrael.
00:11:35Yisrael, the inspired writer.
00:11:37Excuse me for a moment.
00:11:38Okay, come on.
00:11:40Wow.
00:11:43So, Wookie had his esophagus chew.
00:11:48And now it's time for a little iced tea.

00:12:18So, Boaz, recognizing how snotty that reply was, he decided that he would tell us what I just told you.
00:12:30He said, this is the face and the appearance of Yisrael.
00:12:36This is how they have engaged.
00:12:37This is who they are.
00:12:41On behalf of the redemption and restoration of Ken, which they know nothing about since they're about the business of
00:12:51estranging people from Yisrael,
00:12:55when dealing with substitutions or exchanges pursuant to trading and bartering,
00:13:02when attempting to establish and confirm every matter of speaking,
00:13:10one man removed and brandished his sandal.
00:13:15Then he gave it to the other fellow.
00:13:18This was the manner of attesting in Israel.
00:13:24Ruth guiding the flock for seven.
00:13:33I suppose the intent of this was to infer that one wouldn't immediately walk away from the deal that they
00:13:43hadn't made if they only had one shoe.
00:13:47Maybe if we could get over the cackles problem and someone could hold their nose and get around the stench,
00:13:53it might be a good thing to recommend to POTUS, the great dumpster, Satan incarnate,
00:14:01so he doesn't renege on the deals that he makes the same day that he makes them.
00:14:08But it is odd that it wasn't enough to say that, well, you mean what you say and you intend
00:14:18to honor it.
00:14:21It's also telling that there was no indication that an Israelite ever tossed a shoe to Yahweh.
00:14:33Thereby acknowledging that they wouldn't run away from what they had heard and agreed upon.
00:14:41Their adherence to the agreements they made with Yahweh have lasted about as long as one of Donald Trump's tweets.
00:14:50Maybe that's why they like him.
00:14:53The Israeli failure may have been cheap and chicken, but it wasn't necessarily stupid.
00:15:04Ruth was far more than a gift with purchase coming with the land that was also being acquired.
00:15:24And Boaz, of course, he intended to unwrap and enjoy God's gift at every opportunity.
00:15:36The one with the wherewithal to pay the price to redeem said to Boaz, meaning with confidence, courage, and conviction,
00:15:46being fortified and forceful.
00:15:49You have chosen to make this transaction and to acquire this child, one brought forth to restore and redeem Kana.
00:16:03You will do the business deal, making this purchase, accompanied by the conception of a baby born of passion, who
00:16:13will reconcile and acquire everything as the branch in the stem.
00:16:20Boy, is that ever loaded with prophetic import call imperative second person masculine singular.
00:16:26And you will do so for and by yourself.
00:16:34Then he removed and he brandished his sandal.
00:16:39Ruth 4.8
00:16:43Other than to confirm the stated and attested recusal, at that point the deed was done.
00:16:53Ruth would belong to Boaz.
00:16:57And Boaz to Ruth.
00:16:59And of course, both to Yahweh on behalf of Yisra'el.
00:17:09It was a marriage that would endure eternity.
00:17:14Boaz, unassailable and irrefutable, said to the elderly and the aged, the Zakan,
00:17:24And to all of the people, you are witnesses this day, that indeed, I have purchased, I have acquired,
00:17:36Kana, I have brought forth the money and barter for everything which beneficially was Emelech,
00:17:45The counselor and king to my god, in addition to everything that was Kilion, which means consumed and annihilated,
00:18:00And to Mahlon, sickly and diseased, from the hand of Naomi, my favorite one.
00:18:11If you think those are pretty ridiculous names, Kilion and Mahlon, they were the names of Naomi's sons,
00:18:20One of which, of course, Ruth was married to.
00:18:23She actually named her two sons, Annihilated and Sickly.
00:18:30What a treasure, hmm?
00:18:33That's some mother there, isn't it?
00:18:37That's like naming a woman Miriam, embittered.
00:18:46But anyway, he would acquire what had been that clan's possessions.
00:18:53They had been put up for sale.
00:18:57He was the only bitter.
00:19:01Now, in this case, it said it was all.
00:19:05And all means all.
00:19:07That's all all ever means.
00:19:11And so Boaz went all in.
00:19:14And he would cash out, acquiring all he had sought in the process.
00:19:21And should there have been any question that an Ed here is a witness such that
00:19:27the identically scribed odd means more than until,
00:19:33consider Boaz's declaration.
00:19:37This is really an important aspect of understanding God's witness.
00:19:42Because the odd is God's restoring witness.
00:19:46And he uses it as a title throughout the Torah and prophets.
00:19:51And he ascribes it in particular to this very man who is speaking here.
00:19:59Moaz and future iterations and deployments of his soul.
00:20:05Further, we're reminded that by comparison to lone, sickly and diseased,
00:20:12Moaz was looking great, even if he was twice Ruth's age.
00:20:17Besides, he had good telomeres.
00:20:21For those who don't know what a telomere is, it's the elasticity of a cell and its propensity
00:20:28to be able to be more viable, last a longer period of time.
00:20:36I kid Leah all the time that I may be older, but I'm aging slower.
00:20:42I've got good telomeres.
00:20:44Now, when speaking of Ruth, she was the prize, of course.
00:20:49Buying more of Bethlehem was just a means to an end.
00:20:53The man would have brought the entire promised land, if that's what it took.
00:20:59And God would have seen that he was able to do so.
00:21:06He was clearly in approval.
00:21:10Now, was he really buying a woman?
00:21:13Of course not.
00:21:14She had given himself to him.
00:21:16He didn't have to do any of this.
00:21:18But what he was setting up is something that is echoed through the Yobel,
00:21:24where all debts are freed, liberated.
00:21:29All people are freed and liberated as well.
00:21:33And the land returns.
00:21:37He was living out what it is to be a ga'al, a redeemer, in that he paid the price.
00:21:48That while Ruth was his gift, and she offered herself to him, and he accepted,
00:21:58to be the model for a redeemer, to be the model for a redeemer, he has to pay a price.
00:22:04And so, he did.
00:22:07And since he wasn't into buying people, he made Ruth the free gift with purchase of the land.
00:22:16And she was already attached to the land.
00:22:18And she was becoming an expert gleaner.
00:22:23So, in addition, that which pertains to Ruth, Boaz said.
00:22:30The feminine companion and pleasurable mate, with the name means, longing to associate and befriend,
00:22:37while striving to teach the flock, as one who attends to her man,
00:22:43the Moabit, one of questionable parentage, the woman of Mahlon, sickly and diseased.
00:22:54I have purchased and acquired, making this transaction of this child, brought forth to restore and to redeem.
00:23:03Even Kana speaks, just as ga'al, I have brought, bought, through money and barter.
00:23:13Doing the business deal and making this purchase, accompanied by the conception of a baby born of passion,
00:23:21who will reconcile and acquire everything, as the branch and as the stem, prophetic, of course,
00:23:29of them being the great-grandparents of Dode, our Savior.
00:23:35And I have acquired her for me, he said, as my wife.
00:23:44And this is being established and confirmed in the name and reputation of those who would die before receiving their
00:23:57inheritance.
00:24:00That is a dig.
00:24:04You see, the other man who could have done the right thing, but chose not to.
00:24:15He said, I would, but if I did, I would mess up my inheritance and it would be, you know,
00:24:25like death.
00:24:26And so he's given him a dig.
00:24:29He's just saying that, you know, the fact of the matter is that you're going to die before you receive
00:24:36your inheritance.
00:24:38Because, well, I am the kinsman redeemer.
00:24:42I can only redeem the willing.
00:24:45It was a bit of a dig.
00:24:47More worried about their 401k than the covenant.
00:24:50But, yeah, so to speak.
00:24:52Not that there may have been a 401k back then, but there probably was a 666.
00:24:58Yeah.
00:24:59The name, reputation, and renown of the one being assassinated and dying, murdered, and slain will not be cut off,
00:25:08ceasing to exist from among his brothers or from the entrance and access to this place.
00:25:16You are witnesses this day.
00:25:18I guess it was the early version of may their memory be a blessing.
00:25:23Sickly was, well, he crapped out.
00:25:26So he was diddly-eyed dead.
00:25:29And his father was also dead.
00:25:34So he's just saying, you know, we did this transaction.
00:25:38I bought their property.
00:25:40It stays within the family.
00:25:42So their name and reputation will not be forgotten just because they're diddly-eyed dead.
00:25:46But the fact of the matter is, he didn't need more land.
00:25:52He was not much interested in two deceased individuals.
00:25:58His whole focus was on Ruth.
00:26:03And you are witnesses this day.
00:26:08Well, some men are more valuable than others, and this one was worth every shuckle.
00:26:14Although I suspect her care and maintenance would make Boaz's down payment akin to a single stalk of barley in
00:26:24a field.
00:26:26But we can now be assured that Boaz is using Kana to convey much more than a monetary transaction,
00:26:33especially since the price was never mentioned, never even discussed.
00:26:40He was motivated to acquire this child who would come forth to restore and redeem his people on behalf of
00:26:51the branch and stem who would come,
00:26:55their great-grandson, Jod.
00:26:58Now, in so doing, there would be an opportunity for those who had passed away before the door to heaven
00:27:06was opened.
00:27:08And since Ruth and Boaz would deliver the man who would fulfill the mickrae,
00:27:13that would provide access to God.
00:27:16With Ruth redeemed, surely others might follow.
00:27:21So, you know, when we talk about the covenant family that's going to join us in Shema'im during our
00:27:28working recess following Shabuah this coming year
00:27:33and before we're repositioned on Pesach in 2030,
00:27:40and then will work with us through the next thousand years to prepare that mortal remnant become a covenant.
00:27:48And it's not just the covenant family that is with us now.
00:27:54We're going to be buttressed with the likes of Mosheh.
00:28:00And Yahshia.
00:28:03And Zechariah.
00:28:07And so many of the greats.
00:28:11Can you imagine Shamwell?
00:28:14Of course, Elia.
00:28:18There's going to be some extraordinary people that are going to be added to all of this.
00:28:24Coleb.
00:28:27It's going to be marvelous.
00:28:31Now, by working together with Ruth, Boaz was already aware that the acclaim he would achieve through the sacrifice that
00:28:41he would perform
00:28:43would assure that his name would never be forgotten.
00:28:48And in this, Yahweh concurs.
00:28:52And that is why Boaz's is the only name emblazoned on his house.
00:28:58There is a title for their son, but that's the only name on the temple, Boaz.
00:29:12So even in the millennium, which would follow, neither Boaz nor Ruth would be cut off.
00:29:19They will not cease to exist.
00:29:21They are as essential to the entrance, to return to the garden.
00:29:27And even to the covenant, as is Doad.
00:29:32They are the redeemer of the redeemer.
00:29:36We are witnesses to their prophetic portrayal.
00:29:40She is the Amma.
00:29:42There's only one.
00:29:44He is a Gaal.
00:29:46There are only two.
00:29:50Ruth would be like Leah, but not like Rachel.
00:29:56But even then, Boaz was nothing like Jacob, because Jacob was a wimp.
00:30:03Jacob was abusive to his wife.
00:30:06And Boaz treated his wife as the greatest jewel in a crown.
00:30:14Further, the children they bore were seldom better than their father, if you're looking at Jacob.
00:30:24Therefore, the cited example that is about to be given was not proper.
00:30:32It was a horrible way to engage.
00:30:35It was a horrible thing to be said in Bethlehem.
00:30:39Nevertheless, this next line is horrendous.
00:30:43It's appalling.
00:30:44It's disgusting.
00:30:47It is Israel.
00:30:49It's Israel then.
00:30:51It's Israel now.
00:30:54Not only did they get all of this wrong, it's just a great travesty what we're going to hear.
00:31:12All the people who were showing the way to the benefits of the relationship at the gate, along with the
00:31:20elders, said,
00:31:22as witnesses, now this part is lovely.
00:31:27It's what follows that is not.
00:31:30We want Yahweh to give the woman who is going to come and enter into your house.
00:31:41Yes, yes, it is.
00:31:43I should have.
00:31:45Yeah.
00:31:47I'm sorry.
00:31:48You know, I know where this is going.
00:31:52And where it is right now, it's still decent.
00:31:55It's just that I can't get out of my mind how horrible it's going to go.

00:32:38So, all of the people who were showing the way to the benefits of the relationship at the gate,

00:32:45as witnesses, we want Yahweh to give the woman who is going to come and enter into your house
00:32:57to be like Leah.
00:33:00Leah means weary of being grieved and abused.
00:33:05Leah, loved at last.
