00:00I am so incredibly proud to be part of these awards as they honour the legacy of my mother and
00:06bring out the very best in people like you.
00:09You are all doing such incredible work and at a time of great uncertainty you have found the power and
00:15inspiration inside of you to make a positive mark on the world.
00:18And I love that the Dyna Award is able to help you do it.
00:22I know that my mother has been an inspiration to many of you and I can assure you she would
00:27have been fighting your corner.
00:30Like many of you, she never took the easy bridge, or the popular one, or the comfortable one, but she
00:36stood for something and she stood up for people who needed it.
00:40Right now we are seeing situations around the world where division, isolation and anger are dominating as pain and trauma
00:47come to the surface.
00:49But I see the greatest hope in people like you and I'm confident about the world's future and its ability
00:56to heal because it is in your hands.
01:00My wife said recently that our generation and the ones before us haven't done enough to wipe the wrongs from
01:05the past.
01:06I too am sorry.
01:08Sorry that we haven't got the world to the place that you deserve it to be.
01:13Institutional racism has no place in our societies, yet it is still endemic.
01:19Unconscious bias must be acknowledged without blame to create a better world of all of you.
01:24In fact, I want you to know that we are committed to being part of the solution and to being
01:29part of the change that you are all leading.
01:32Now is the time and we know that you can do it.
01:36It's like a rain, a place that only we can see.
