00:00Johor is very much an UMNO specifically stronghold so that's why PAS was giving it in a sense giving
00:06UMNO the way. Negeri was more competitive so it was clearly that they need to work together
00:11but for Melaka it's very hard to say who has the advantage because of course if we look in 2021
00:19UMNO had the advantage right winning 21 out of 28 seats however just a year later for the
00:26parliamentary elections BN did not win a single seat a single parliamentary seat in Melaka so
00:31what this means is that PN specifically feels confident and emboldened that they have more of a
00:39footing in Melaka if we look at 2022 being closer to 2026 so what this means is that PAS and
00:48PN want
00:49to get more seats it's all about seat negotiation the question now is would UMNO give up the
00:5521 seats that are in their hands right now the bigger question would be in states like if they
01:01do decide to work together would they work together in states like Perak do they work together in states
01:07like Pahang where again BN has more seats but PAS is making inroads in Pahang same if with Perak
01:13PAS has a big stronghold in Perak and then if we go further north right where like Cerenganu where it's
01:20a
01:20clean sweep for PAS is PAS willing to give up some seats to UMNO or UMNO willing to say okay
01:27we're just
01:27going to support PAS the way that PAS supports UMNO and BN in Johor so that's why I feel like
01:33Melaka is just one of many many more experiments to come
