01:25You are one of the, I mean, in addition to your film roles on television, you are one
01:29of the bad, badass women, like, in all of TV.

01:34But you said that this season was very demanding and you weren't sure, after what we've seen
01:38over the last two seasons, you weren't sure that you would be able to pull it off.
01:41What does that mean?
01:42I mean, I just feel like I'm an old soldier.
01:44I get tired a lot.
01:46And, but someone like Taylor Sheridan, when he, when he believes in you, you have no other
01:53choice but to start believing in yourself again, you know, and, and I love the fact
01:58that every season he manages to surprise us all with the challenges that he throws at
02:04Joe at Caitlin, which is played by Nicole Kidman and on Joe's QRF team.

02:11We feel challenged as actors, as artists.
02:14We also feel like we learn a lot about the complexity of, of, of people who live in service,
02:21you know, to, to countries, but also to their lives.
02:24And it's, it's insightful.
02:26It's inspiring.
02:28It's challenging.
02:29It's exhausting.
02:30So it's, it's worth it.
02:31And it's, and the fact that we're coming back for a third season, we feel so lucky because
02:34that doesn't happen often.
02:36And speaking of complexities, there is something beautifully poetic about your character, Joe.
02:42There's almost this irony because she has to disconnect from one thing in order to lock
02:47in on her job, essentially keeping herself and others alive.
02:51Are there aspects about your personal life that help you capture that duality?
02:56Oh, well, yes.
02:58I think that as, as parents, um, uh, once you take on the role of, of parent and caring
03:06for, for a life that you love more than your own, that means that their dreams sooner or
03:11later become bigger dreams than your own dreams.
03:14So having to wrestle and reconcile with, with the negotiation of your time, you know, the wanting
03:21and the needing and the having, you know, like I have to be here.
03:25I want to do this.
03:26I need to do this.
03:28Um, it's just hard when, when, what the, the people that you love the most, which is your
03:33family, they're the ones that you've sacrificed.
03:35And she's really torn with that.
03:37It's really hard, right?
03:37And I think that we can all, if we're parents, we can familiarize with that.
03:41And she's torn because love of country and service to the country are guiding her.
03:45But yet she's got her two kids at home that she's also grappling with how to, how to be
03:50everything at once.
03:51What I love watching, I got a glimpse of the first two episodes.
03:55You really take us into the center of the action.
03:58I mean, and Joe, when I tell you that Joe is it, she is the baddest badass, as Vlad said.
04:04I mean, this is a modern day warfare that we're seeing as well.
04:08Drones and Ukraine.
04:10Pulled right out of the headlines.
04:11Right out of the headlines.
04:12I mean, take us a little bit through like Taylor Sheridan's mindset in creating this season.
04:18Um, I, there's one thing that I love the most.
04:21It's, it's men that really see women and know how to write women.
04:26And, uh, and I've been very fortunate to work with a lot of creative men that, um, that do that.
04:33You know, James Cameron writing, they teary.
04:36I, I, I, I'm so forever indebted to him.
04:41Um, Jacques Odiard with, with the women and Emilia Perez.
04:44Um, and also Taylor Sheridan writes great, complex, wholesome women that they may not be perfect.
04:51But then again, you know, human beings were not made to be perfect.
04:54And I love the fact that there is an accurate depiction of, of Joe, a woman that in front of
05:00her team, she never breaks and she's able to carry so much responsibility on her shoulders.
05:05Yeah.
05:06And yet when she's in her private quarters, you see this human being grapple with, with
05:12just having to make everything work.
05:15So you make everything work because you are one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood.
05:20That is why you are the highest grossing actor in Hollywood, in cinema history.
