00:02Hi, we're the Cribs and Ben and Cassine.
00:05You know, coming out all this way, you never really know what to expect, but yeah, it was a big
00:10crowd today.
00:11It was fun.
00:11It's really brilliant. I mean, I never know what stage we're supposed to be on anyway.
00:15I very rarely take notice of where we're playing or what stage or who we're playing against or anything like
00:21that.
00:22But yeah, the crowd today was amazing. It was huge and everyone was really into it.
00:27And it just felt really good. I think we just, as a band, we just really enjoyed playing, you know.
00:33It was one of those things where even though it was ridiculously hot, it was so easy on stage.
00:40And it's because of the vibe that you're getting back from the people who were there.
00:43It felt like everyone was there to have a good time. And yeah, it's so nice to see, from a
00:48vanity point of view,
00:49it's so nice to see so many people show up. That's always nice.
00:53Compared to the other ones, I mean, it was fun because, you know, obviously it's a really scenic place.
00:59And it's really nice weather and there's a really relaxed vibe here. So, you know.
01:04And as I was saying, I think that puts everybody in a good mood and the audience were really great.
01:07I guess you kind of get used to playing big, muddy car parks as well, you know, in the rain.
01:15Like, doing UK festivals. And for all I love doing that, because I do, it is nice to come and
01:21play somewhere.
01:25So pretty. You know what I mean?
01:27It's like Oxygen. We did that, like, probably about a week ago or something like that.
01:31And that was just, like, miles apart weather-wise from here.
01:34It was like January. It was like a wet January weekend, you know what I mean?
01:37And, like, now here we are. And it's, yeah, it's like a perfect summer.
01:43It makes a change not waking up with mud in your bunk every day.
01:46We do kind of put together more of a greatest hits kind of set at festivals, I think.
01:50But that's kind of natural. But we also try and throw in, like, a few...
01:54Like, today we threw in, like, a new song that we were just working on, you know.
01:58It's something that's not even particularly finished. It's something we're working on.
02:01It's like, yeah, let's just throw it in just because it keeps us interested, you know.
02:06And it's really difficult, like, I think that when you've been on the tour for a long time
02:10and when you've been doing the festival season, you really have to figure out a way of making sure that
02:14every gig is different
02:16and every gig, you know, has something that keeps you on your tours and keeps you excited.
02:21Otherwise, I don't ever want to phone a gig in. I don't want to do a gig and think, God,
02:25I phoned that in, you know.
02:26And it was just a standard set, you know. So we always try and change it around or switch it
02:33up somehow.
02:33But we definitely don't fall into those pitfalls of being, like, getting everyone to put the...
02:36You know, getting everyone to, like, oh, we do get people to sing along and lie in.
02:43But we have been doing some writing in downtime. We've definitely, like, written a bunch of stuff.
02:47But in what capacity it's going to be used, I can't really say.
02:52But we never, ever look backwards, you know. We never rest on those laurels.
02:57We always... As soon as we finish recording a record, I'm always thinking about the next one.
03:02Always... Because the only reason I write songs is because I...
03:07If I write a song, I buzz off it for, like, two weeks, you know.
03:10So I never stop doing that because I just want that feeling over and over again, you know.
03:15We don't... We never... That stops you getting lazy. If you actually care about what you're doing, it stops you
03:20getting lazy.
03:21I say.
03:21It's not the same that people are going to say.
03:21I don't know.
03:22You know, I say...
03:22You know, I say.
03:22Yeah.
03:23You know, I say.
