00:22time. But one crucial difference between India and the other stories has been the focus on
00:28education, primary education, primary enrollment. We focused a lot on higher education but that
00:35should have been accompanied by a stronger focus at the grassroot level. That didn't happen.
00:42So much so that even today, India's literacy rate is just 77% and China has almost 100%
00:49literacy. That's a huge difference. Entire Southeast Asia with few minor exceptions has
00:55complete literacy, 100% literacy. That's a big thing.
