00:05Andrea, your music has touched millions, but what inspires me just as much is the extraordinary work that you and
00:13Veronica and your foundation have done to transform the lives of children and communities around the world.
00:20So it's a privilege and thank you for having me tonight.
00:22I work with UNICEF and my work with UNICEF has taken me to communities in the world where I've seen
00:29the challenges children face, the extraordinary dedication of doctors, nurses, volunteers and aid workers who devote their lives to others,
00:39often without recognition and sometimes at their own great personal risk.
00:45Most of all, I've met children whose resilience continues to inspire me, children who have endured conflict, displacement, poverty and
00:55loss, and yet they still find reasons to smile, to learn and to dream.
01:01I hope that we all continue to use whatever gifts, talents or influence that we have in the service of
01:10others, as Andrea and Veronica have done so beautifully through their foundation.
01:13This work is what makes real change happen and because people choose to care, whether you give your time or
01:21your resources or simply help shine a light on those who need it most, you become part of that change.
