00:08It's possibly the most wholesome story I've covered as people from across the
00:13world dance in Folkestone, dressed in red, to Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush.
00:26The event is called the most Wuthering Heights day ever. Being there and seeing how much fun
00:32everyone was having was actually quite emotional. I spoke to some of the attendees before and after
00:38the dance, which by the way was done three times because everyone was having so much fun.
00:43It may not be the best dance, but we give it all of the effort.
00:50You know I have a huge cake match. You get six to go. It's good fun. And I think it's
00:55good
00:55to see something like this. It's different from culture, but in your life as you get older
00:59as well. So yeah, it's fun.
01:02Yeah, and it's amazing to see all the men that participated in the red, not only just in red,
01:10but in dresses as well. This is not the first time this event has happened in Folkestone,
01:26but it's also not the only place that happens either.
01:29So the most Wuthering Heights day ever is an invention of Shambush, who are an arts collective
01:34based in Brighton. They did the first one in 2013. From that, other people picked up
01:39on it and it went, yeah, global. There were others and others in other parts of the world
01:43and in other parts of the country. A friend of mine saw that and then bought it to Folkestone
01:47in 2018. So we did it then, 2019. We had a bit of a break during the pandemic. And then
01:54I picked it up in 2023 and I've been doing it since then.
01:58It's clearly a very popular event both to watch and take part in.
02:02I can see why it works. Kate Bush is an iconic artist. It's not just great songwriting and
02:08great songs. It's great video, great storytelling, great choreography. She's an amazing dancer.
02:13She's like an all round artist. And that's why someone like Kate Bush works for this sort
02:17of event. Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, Kate Bush and her music has clearly left a huge impact
