OMG WORLDWIDE MUMS LISTEN UP 🤰😭❌🔥*

🚨 *PREGNANCY SAFETY SERIES – PART 4*

Topic: *DON’T LIFT LIKE THIS DURING PREGNANCY!*

Mamas… if you’re pregnant 🤰 and trying to lift heavy boxes, laundry baskets, shopping bags, kids’ toys, or anything from the floor like this… *PLEASE STOP AND WATCH THIS* 😭🚨

This looks like a normal everyday movement…

but during pregnancy, the body is already carrying extra pressure through the belly, hips, pelvis, knees, and lower back.

So when you bend forward, round your spine, and lift with poor posture, it can put extra strain on your body 😰

🙅‍♀️ *RED = IMPROPER LIFTING TECHNIQUE ❌*

In the wrong setup, you can see:

❌ Spine rounded forward

❌ Belly compressed

❌ Knees not positioned well

❌ Poor balance

❌ Too much pressure on the lower back

❌ Partner also in a strained position

❌ No proper support

❌ Higher risk of discomfort or wobbling

That forward bend + belly pressure + poor knee position can make lifting feel harder and more uncomfortable.

And if your partner is helping but also bending badly, they can strain their own back too 😭

Pregnancy changes your balance, your centre of gravity, your posture, your core support, and your pelvic stability.

So please don’t force your body into a movement that feels heavy, awkward, or unstable.

✅ *GREEN = SAFE: RECOMMENDED LIFTING SETUP ✅*

This is the safer way:

1️⃣ *NEUTRAL SPINE*

Keep your back long and controlled. Avoid rounding forward too much.

2️⃣ *USE YOUR LEGS*

Bend your knees and squat down instead of pulling from your back.

3️⃣ *KEEP THE LOAD CLOSE*

Hold the box close to your body. Don’t reach far away.

4️⃣ *PARTNER SUPPORT*

Your partner should stay close, squat properly, and share the load calmly.

5️⃣ *CORE AND ARMS USE*

Move slowly, use your arms and legs together, and avoid sudden jerks.

6️⃣ *REDUCED PRESSURE*

When your posture is better, there is less pressure on your belly and lower back.

Real talk mamas 💯

We lift things every day without thinking…

Laundry basket.

Shopping bags.

Toddler toys.

Water bottles.

Boxes.

Household items.

But during pregnancy, even a “small lift” can feel different because your body is changing every week.

The goal is not to scare you.
The goal is to remind you:

✅ move slowly
✅ ask for help
✅ keep posture stable
✅ avoid twisting
✅ avoid heavy lifting when possible
✅ listen to your body

If something feels painful, too heavy, or uncomfortable — stop and get help.

Your bump deserves safe movement 🤰💛
Your back deserves support.
Your pelvis deserves stability.
Your body deserves care.

💚 SAVE THIS before your next pregnancy workout or house chore
