En medio de una transmisión en sus redes sociales, Abelardo de la Espriella anunció las misiones diplomáticas que dejarán de funcionar en la próxima administración, dijo que la caída de ceniza del volcán Puracé en el aeropuerto de Popayán impide llevar la ceremonia de posesión a la capital del Cauca y aseguró que no trabajará desde la Casa de Nariño sino que tendrá sedes alternas en Barranquilla, Medellín y Cali.
